Starlit Avenue

Welcome to Starlit Avenue! We are an 18+ account-per-player forum roleplay, focused on a supernatural community in the Pacific Northwest. We are a slice-of-life style roleplay focusing on interpersonal drama and the struggles that come with being a discreet community of supernatural beings living in close proximity to mundane humans. To see more of what we have to offer, check out our guidebook, linked at the top of the site.

Starlit Avenue's roleplay forums are hidden from guests, due to 18+ content.

  • Characters on Starlit Avenue, in addition to their text descriptions, may be represented with images. Proper credit, with links, must be used with any art that is posted to the site. There are limitations to the kind of art that you can use however. The types of art that you can use to represent your characters are as follows:
    • Art You Have the Rights To: This includes art that you have commissioned, character designs that you have purchased, and art that you yourself have drawn. The artist and designershould be credited. If the artist and/or designer is yourself you should still note it.

    • Official/Licensed Art: Include the character name, the source of the art, and the artist (if possible). If you can, link to a place where the image has been publicly posted. Official art can be edited freely, but please credit the person who made the edits.

    • Fanart: The character and artist should both be listed. If the artist cannot be identified, or has requested their art not be reposted, the art cannot be used.

    • OCs, Commissions, Etc: Art of another person's original character, commissions purchased by someone else, etc can be used only with explicit permission of the owner (not the artist). Otherwise, they cannot be used. We will ask for proof and follow up with the owner of the art in these cases.

    • Real Life Playbys: Playbys should be publicly known figures, such as a professional model or movie star. Please name the person in question, and link back to a professional reference for them (IMBD page, modeling agency, etc). * Stock Images: Follow any posted terms and link to the source of the stock image.

    • AI Generated Art: Art created through algorithmic programs such as NovelAI and ArtBreeder. The program that was used should be linked to for credit.

A note about AI Art: While we understand the myriad of concerns that have come to light with AI art, after careful consideration and discussion both among the community and staff, we have decided to continue to allow it to be used by our members. With that in mind, we strive to promote and encourage human artists. To that end, AI art should be posted in the AI-art channel only. Likewise, due to potential issues with image ownership and copyright, we do not allow sales or commissions made this way.

The following types of art are not allowed to be used:
    • NFTs: Even if you own the NFT in question, you may not use it as a visual representation on Starlit Avenue.
