- Other
- His pet appears to be a tattoo of an ermine, about 1 foot long, and brightly coloured. Animated - it moves around his body, usually staying on his torso, with its head peeking out. It does make quiet sounds, but veil covers it up. Any movements it makes appear to be a trick of the light.
Ages slowly.
Personality
Quiet - Not necessarily an introvert, but Edmund tends to fade into the background in groups. He's not the kind to speak up or act out, socially. A bit of a tendency to go with the group. He'd be as content to curl up with a book, as to go out and socialize.
Ashamed - Shame for a part of himself, has ingrained a sense of reservation into him. He's slow to open up about anything personal. Quick to accept criticism, but flustered by praise. It is difficult for him to be honest about himself, and he uses storytelling to distract. Fears his own sexuality, uncomfortable in his own skin.
Fey - Edmund is sometimes disconnected from his current reality. Easily distracted, often humming to himself. He finds it hard to focus on conversations. Zones out more than he'd like.
- Additional Information
- Rather innocent, in the inexperienced sense, Edmund knows nothing about modern history and society. His only experiences outside of Georgian society were with the fae, and they weren't human.

CW: homophobia
Born in England in the early 1800s, Edmund had a fairly unremarkable childhood for the times. When he was grown he got a job as a schoolhouse teacher. After fighting his urges too long, he fell for another man and entered into a secret homosexual relationship around 20. They were both very careful, but eventually they slipped up and were caught by Edmund's landlord when they worked up to anything more than kisses. Both were arrested and convicted, originally receiving a death sentence which was then commuted to transportation.
On ship to Australia, there was a shipwreck. Edmund was among the handful that survived, saved by some seafaring fae for reasons of their own.
Edmund spent roughly three years among the fae, entertaining them with stories. His lover hadn't survived, and the rough men who had made him uneasy, most of them actual criminals. Because of this, Edmund everything up spending more time with the fae than the other humans. Even unintentionally charming one who gifted him his pet tattoo.
Eventually, while wandering through Underhill, he stumbled back to the normal world in Polaris Pass, 1000s of miles and almost two centuries from home. And he had no idea how to return to either Underhill or his own time.
