- Other
- Hadley's soul is combined with that of a Church Grim. As a result he is capable of shapeshifting into a black, shaggy, semi-spectral humanoid dog, somewhat reminiscent in shape of an Irish wolfhound.
Personality
Churchyard Hound: Hadley has a very strong sense of protection. This was a part of him even before his fusion with the Church Grim, but adding a guardian spirit to him only made the desire to protect people stronger.
Having Trouble: Hadley's self control is shaky at best. His impulses get the better of him more often than they should, especially when it comes to things like drinking or sex.
Lots of Guilt: Hadley has a very complicated and shaky relationship with his own beliefs. Despite being brought up devoutly Catholic- and at one point being ordained- his encounters with the supernatural, his own inability to follow the doctrine, and his death have all left him unsure of what exactly he believes. Being fused with a spirit meant to protect churches does not help.
- Additional Information
- Fusion with the Church Grim has left Hadley with some dog-like mannerisms, even in his human form.

History

- County Monaghan, Republic of Ireland
Born and raised in a small village in Ireland, Hadley was awakened as a teenager when he was nearly abducted by the fae. Concerned about the danger posed to the non awakened by those both aware of the veil and with less benevolent intentions, the young Hadley joined an underground religious fraternity of awakened humans called the Order of Longinus, dedicated to keeping the non awakened safe. Around the same time he became ordained as a Catholic priest.
Hadley was a very, very promising recruit. His ability to use his status as a man of the cloth to gain trust made him invaluable as an easily movable operative and quickly he was sent across the water to the United Kingdom on his first big job.
Hadley was killed.
Luckily enough for him, though, he was killed in a Church Yard protected by a black dog spirit. For reasons he isn't entirely sure of, the dog's spirit and his not only managed to join together, but it was enough to shock Hadley back to life- with the caveat that from that point on he always needed something from that very church.
Severely shaken by the experience, Hadley's behavior on the job became less and less acceptable until the point where, after a certain incident while he was working in Japan, he was ejected from the order. Following this Hadley moved to Polaris Pass, opening up his own business as a private detective to keep on getting use out of his skills for the time he has left before retirement.
