- Situation
- Currently sleeping on a couch in the apartment of the girls who freed him, living on their charity for now
Appearance
- Height
- 5'5" (165cm)
- Body
- Lithe and lanky, a bit androgynous with a lean that could be called almost femme. He hides his build under layers of baggy clothing.
- Face
- A narrow, angular face that leans masculine, but with very cute dimples when he gives a genuine smile. He has a pair of small black horns poking up through his hair and his tongue is forked like a snake's.
- Eyes
- Sharp amber gold eyes that look a bit like burning coals when he's particularly angry or agitated.
- Hair
- Neck length shaggy black hair that he keeps brushed over one of his eyes like it's the 90s or something.
- Clothes
- He wears baggy clothes that today might be called street wear. He's that guy that wears a flannel shirt under a hoodie under a leather jacket so you don't notice that he's a skinny twink. He's also got a cool bangle that looks like a cobra made out of some kind of polished stone that he always wears. The man has a stretched out beanie and he is never without it.
Personality
Haytham is a bit of a prankster, a low stakes criminal, and a big time daredevil. He very much dislikes having limits placed on himself and will tend to go out of his way to buck against rules if he doesn't think they actually have any good use.
Haytham's also kind of a people pleaser, and the best way to get him to do something is if he think it'll make him cooler or more popular. He likes being liked and generally will trip over himself to impress others.
Being as charismatic and sociable as he is. Haytham often finds himself at the center of friend groups (and at one time, a polycule). But he's a bit of a rusty hinge in that regard, just forgetful and absentminded enough that he frustrates the group's ability to function as a cohesive unit. He never means to cause problems, but inevitably he does and he's left juggling the people he cares about to try and keep things from falling apart.
Abilities
- Ability Format
- Standard Traits
- Advantages
- Disadvantages
- Core Advantage
- Wishmaster - Haytham can grant wishes to anyone he deems fit. His wishes recharge at a rate of one per year, adding a new wish on his birthday. He can only 'hold' a maximum of three wishes however. If he has all three wishes, instead of getting a new one on his birthday, the power of the wishes increases. Each power increase makes the wishes 150% as strong as their baseline.
Currently, Haytham's wishes can accomplish anything that equates approximately to what a normal person could accomplish given one year of dedicated effort with no magical help. So he could help you get a promotion or a new car, but nothing that would be impossible for you to get on your own anyway.
- Bonus
- Bonus: Upgrade Camouflage to actual full invisibility
Current Situation
- Occupation
- Unemployed
- Housing
- Sleeping on Gwen Chase's couch at the moment
- Wealth
- Like twenty bucks he had in his pocket
History
- Place of Birth
- July 19
Adopted as an infant by a kind couple in Polaris Pass, Haytham spent his youth in the 1980s doing what every kid did. At least until his supernatural nature began to manifest early in puberty and he got a transfer to True North Academy. He of course immediately started using his powers for hijinks, and over time gained a bit of a reputation as a troublemaker.
At some point he was in a polyamorous relationship with three local girls: Jean Hughes, Circe Hemlock, and Amy Michaelson. The relationship had a lot of missteps, mostly due to Haytham being awful at communicating his feelings, but they got along well enough and he even thought sometimes about the life they might all have together after graduation.
It wasn't to be however, as a lunatic monster hunter trapped the young Djinn in the serpent statue vessel that had come to be his personal refuge and hid it away. When no evidence of foul play could be found, and with his reputation staking opinions against him, it was broadly assumed that Haytham had skipped town for one reason or another. The Kravitz case of 199X remains one of the unsolved mysteries that keeps getting passed around campfires and ghost tours in Polaris Pass every so often.
Decades passed and one Gwen Chase found the journals detailing the trapping of the Djinn, and after some exhaustive searching and research, helped him escape his prison. But now he's in a world he doesn't quite recognize, where time and people have moved on without him.
