Kyo Tatsuzaki was never a child that accepted 'I don't know' as a final answer. If an adult couldn't tell her the answer to a question she would resolve to find it herself. It was this spirit of curiosity that led Kyo to pursue sciences as a career path, eventually ending up working in Polaris Pass at Cordelia S. Moore high school. She also considers it to be the reason she was able to discover her gender identity at a young age.
As happy as Kyo was with her small town life and career as a teacher, it was hard for her not to start to get bored. This boredom led to her most ambitious idea yet: Kyo was going to give herself superpowers. Sure, it was silly and unrealistic, but she was never one to give up. Then things seemed like they were actually moving along, going and going until Kyo finally realized she'd reached her (possibly literal) do-or-die moment.
Kyo came out the other end of it successfully, ready to explore an entirely new world she never knew existed- all while being able to transform into a big scary reptile.
