Protective Instinct: If Nion has someone to protect, he will do anything to protect them, even risk his own life to do so.

- Fancies himself a healthy and balanced diet, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying a good drink at the bar, entertainment, or at rare times from “enjoying” a quick meal like a hamburger. He loves games in general, especially the Dragon Quest series. Has a bit of a sweet tooth, due to having lived with his uncle.

- Digital Backroom: By gesturing a circle on any surface, Nion can create a galaxy-like gateway of any size between small enough for a single person or large enough for a group of five people to walk in at once, and that gateway connects to his pocket dimension: a large room that can be modified via a single unbreakable laptop located in a corner containing a 3D software application. The modification can take between a few seconds (provided the desired room layout is saved) and hours (if a new layout is to be made, or if new objects needs to be added to the software's library). The walls consistently have circuitry lines glowing and are tinted dark, but an artificial skybox can be created to make things seem slightly more natural.
Anything created inside the Digital Backroom cannot be taken, and the room cannot be changed in ways meant to directly harm anyone (it spouts a "Security Error" and prevents the changes from being applied), likewise there's no way to trap someone in (anyone who's in can get out, even if the gateway has been closed from the outside), nor any way to halt communication (wireless signal can traverse the gateway).

- (Upgrade) Familiar - Synchro - A mischievous fox spirit capable of minor electricity manipulation, and possessing Nion to enhance his dexterity to peak human levels.
- (Upgrade) Ikazuchi-Ryuu - Also known as "Lightning Style", is a state Nion can reach by attaining 100% synchronization with Synchro and his sword Rokuga. In this state a bright white-silver long Haori covers him, his hair turns pure white and sparks flows out of him, as he effectively becomes "lightning incarnate", triplicating his speed and agility. As Synchro becomes one with Nion, she takes charge of his reflexes subconsciously, helping him in evasive actions so that Nion himself can focus on combat proper. This state however puts a strain on both Nion and Synchro, causing severe weakening after ten minutes, forcing him to dismiss Rokuga, and he cannot enter that state again for at least an hour.
- Nerfs and Flavor
- There's a faint light green glow around his hands whenever Nion uses his abilities.
- Advantage - Imbued Weapon (Lightning) - A Wakizashi sword named Rokuga (緑牙, lit. "Green Fang") which once housed a mischievous little spirit that was sealed within. Its blade appears to be made of jade, but is certainly sturdier than that. It just appears in thin air like a flash of lightning.
- Familiar - Synchro - It's a white-green chibi feral fox, who often floats around Nion after he accidentally released her, sometimes she may appear with a ghostly wisp tail for her lower half. When possessing Nion, his eyes turns a vivid red, a few locks of his hair turns pale green, and a white sash with green ends appears around his waist, mimicking twin tails. Uses female pronouns for herself, and male pronouns when possessing Nion.
- Spellcasting Theme: Digital Matter Artisan - Nion is capable of materializing things by bringing what is in the digital world to reality through the use of any computer with a screen, which includes even old cellphones and televisions capable of digital reception. The creations can be as complex or large as a car or a body for an Advanced Digital Being, or even last indefinitely provided he is there to maintain it or produces it without a time limit. However the more complex it is or the longer he desires it to last post-production, the more taxing it is on Nion.

History

- Parents passed away when Yakou was thirteen and he was sent to live with his uncle, the only known relative still alive.
- At the age of 15 he bought a supposedly cursed laptop, only to learn a year later that it did contain a harmless and friendly entity contained within: an Advanced Digital Being as he came to call it.
- During the two years that followed he has managed to gain a job within a game development company when he proposed the idea of having Advanced Digital Beings pass off as human beings in a virtual world.
- During his attempts to replicate the one ADB he found, Yakou found himself overwhelmed by stress and passed away at the age of 19, leaving his “cursed” laptop along with his research in the hands of Miles Kaito, Anchorpoint Interactive’s president.
- For six months he found himself stuck in the datascape inside said laptop, and only Miles Kaito communicated with him, encouraging him to retain his sense of self and not cave into despair, gave him a new identity so he could distance from his now-dead self, and this is where he gained the name “Neon Fox Coat”.
- One day he simply appeared inside Miles’ office. On that day, he realized he was indebted to the president and had to repay somehow. Miles' idea of how to repay was unintentionally simpler than they thought: Neon had to hack each employee’s account to find who in the company was leaking information to a rival.
- His debt repaid, Neon decided to take a break to visit his uncle, to who he told and showed who he was, reassuring him that he was in fact Yakou who somehow returned from the dead.
- When the next year had come, Miles Kaito asked for his services: he couldn’t get a reprensentative from Polaris Point to replicate the place in Anchorpoint Interactive's virtual world, and Neon was at the top of the list of people he could send there.

- His original human name was Yakou Tsubasa, and his uncle is Kiroku Tsubasa.
- His uncle has a candy shop located in the corner of an intersection in Fuchuu. Originally the candy shop belonged to Yakou’s grandfather, but his uncle decided to take the place after his father refused to inherit it and continue the business.
- His uncle became partially awakened when he learned from Neon himself that he is in fact the “reborn” Yakou. Somehow he can only see the truth about Neon and those Neon directly introduces to him.
- After regaining his humanity he changed his name to Nion Tsubasa. Still responds to being called "Neon"
- Anchorpoint Interactive is a game company that has made name by two main means, although they specialize in numerous games:
- Under a Crimson Moon, an Action RPG set in ancient Japan where the player has to either spread fear or protect mankind as a Yokai who plans to either become a Demon Lord or a Divine Spirit.
- DataSea Connection, a Virtual Reality software compatible with most ordinary VR headsets that allows the user to visit recreations of many other places across the world with great fidelity due to the volunteering representatives in many towns. Compare it to the likes of Second Life or VR Chat.
- While he was originally bound to Anchorpoint Interactive due to debt, he still sticks to the company after repaying his debt for two reasons: the pay is pretty good, and he really likes Miles Kaito (the president).
- In June 2022 he regained his humanity thanks to Theia Salarin's miracle.
- For a good appearance (but not personality) reference, think of Dan Kuroto from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.
- Following the Nek0 Lab Raid, he has a customized 2017 Honda CBR650F featuring GPS, Android-powered touch 4" screen, muffler silencer to minimize noise after complaints, and LED strips concealed behind translucent accents.
- Aesthetic details: metallic black coating with neon green accents reminiscent of cyberpunk motorcycles or Tron Evolution's Lightcycles. The accent is actually translucent and can light up to improve the motorcycle's visibility in the dark.
