Mary and Joe Smith: A married couple of elderly sleepers, and his current foster parents He's fond of them, and likes to help them out around the house. They give him a decent allowance, and help sponsor his extracurriculars. He keeps an emotional distance as he's not adopted. Sam doesn't know this yet, but they're putting away a small college fund.
