Personality
Whimsy Cranked to Elven. Tryp has a coquettish, prankish personality from her time with the Fae. She will feign ignorance even when she knows better, or even abuse her powers to get a laugh for herself and others. Her pranks ca go too far sometimes, but when they do she is quick to try and make amends. But she will never apologize; a trait she also learned from her fairy hosts.
A Curious Ouroboros. Tryp has a deep fascination with all things that she does not know, and has little filter in what she will try to learn. She can come across as flighty or trifling as she seems to completely drop one interest for another, but she will always come back to learn what she can. She can sometimes ask questions that might be considered rude or too personal in nature. She also loves sharing what she has learned, and writes her family endlessly about the wonders that she sees.
Lost in Time. Tryp has spent the past few hundred years stuck in a Fae Court, more or less cut off from Earth and the steady advancement of society. This has led to her being behind th times, so to speak, in terms of technology. She is eager to learn, but can easily grow frustrated by concepts that are simple to people who grew up with them. She also has a habit of speaking a bit anachronistically, using words or phrases that have fallen out of use in modern times.

She can only have three objects shrunk in this way at a time. She cannot shrink any new objects until one of her three shrunken objects is reverted to normal or destroyed.
Creatures shrunk this way find that any physical capabilities that they had are diminished accordingly, but that any mental or magical abilities that they have are unaffected. Living things naturally resist the shrinking magic, and will return to their normal size after two hours unless she reapplies the magic.

Born to a wealthy family of Mediterranean dragons in the late 1400s, Tryphosa spent her childhood as a sort of experiment. Her family had long ago decided to isolate themselves from other supertnatural communities, but by the time of her hatching they had decided to try and open back up. To that end, Tryp was sent on short trips to absorb the cultures of other places and to equip her, when she was older, to lead their clan in a glorious return to society.
Her last and until now longest trip was to a Fae Court known as Gouldmark, where she spent only a handful of years as hundreds of years passed on Earth. Exiting the strange place with boons from her fairy friends, she returned to the human realm and reunited with her parents. But her unexpectedly long time away had seen many things change on the non-magical side of the world. They needed a way to get her caught up to speed in both educational and social terms.
They called in a favor from an old friend of theirs, Hudson Rogers, who had been one of the clan's only contacts back during their isolation. He couldn't directly take Tryp in as his home was already fairly crowded, but he would keep an eye on her and help in the immediate if she got into trouble. She was enrolled in school at Cordelia Moore so that she could observe humans in their natural habitat.
