Seductress: A natural predator, her body is her snare and protection. She has neither modesty, nor shame. Still inclined to view humans as prey, she instinctively behaves in ways that will draw them to her often acting more interested or vulnerable than she really is depending on the person.

Long-Lived: Seeks novelty, while novelty is rare, but also has a high tolerance for boredom. She's become quite good at making her own entertainment. Whether by people watching, making up stories about their lives, or doing unpredictable things to see people's reactions.

History:
Less born than manifested, Fen's early life in first century Scotland was shrouded in violence and the thrill of the hunt. A feral seductress, she had no qualms about murdering victims for their blood. For centuries, Fenella journeyed across Europe, her nature both a blessing and a curse. The thrill of the hunt waned over time, replaced by a yearning for something more.

A gradual shift occurred. Exposure to human culture sparked an interest in healing and the human body. Sometime in the 18th-19th centuries, Fenella began secretly observing doctors and healers, fascinated by their work.

As the 20th century approached, Fenella learned to navigate cities and technology. Her love of dance found an outlet in the burgeoning burlesque scene of the early 1900s. Around this time, she discovered she could take blood in smaller doses, enough to sustain herself without killing. Prostitution became her primary source of income. After a time, Fenella grew weary of Europe and crossed the Atlantic just before the start of World War II. The concept of medicine continued to draw her, so she took a calculated risk, using her charm and cunning to secure a scholarship to a small American nursing school in the mid-20th century. By the 1990s, Fenella had acquired both a network of willing blood donors and the necessary contacts to create a new modern identity that matched her appearance.

After being a nurse for a few decades, Fenella returned to her roots for a while in the early 2000s, working as a stripper and even appearing in some amateur porn videos. This period was short-lived, and within 15 years, she was back in nursing school, curious about modern advancements. Around this time, she also began taking an interest in poker, though more as a fun social activity than anything professional.

Eventually, Fenella landed a job as a nurse at the hospital in Polaris Pass. There, she met her current housemate, Eliana, when they were trying to go after the same single apartment, but were persuaded to rent a duplex the owner was having a hard time renting out. Having a female roommate roughly the same age as her proved to be an agreeable development. Fenella intended to use her nursing career as a springboard into medical school, now that being a female doctor would be less notable than in centuries past.

History:
Born in Underhill. Fae princess of Magpie court. Middle child, small even for fae, slow to grow. After she's blinded in an accident (probably not so accidental) she's taken to the human world, UK, at 5 years old, and put up for adoption. Magic is involved.

Fostered for a couple years, then adopted by wealthy philanthropist family. Seen as exotic and good business, pushed into performing at young age. Mother able to have own child handful of years later, somewhat neglectful of May.

Moves to New Orleans in 20s, gets into Jazz. Curiousity about her own nature leads her to voodoo. She takes to it well.

When she meets Dan, she finds him a kindred spirit. Apprentices him with the agreement of the loa, and ends up moving to Polaris Pass with him, eager to be part of a supernatural community.

Hair: Shoulder-length, windswept and wavy, silvery blue

Clothes: Flowy comfortable clothing in shades of blue, green and grey. Their accessories are nearly always mismatched and in a contrasting colour to the rest of their clothes. They like sunglasses in fun shapes. Their feet makes shoes hard to wear, but they like using socks with holes cut in them as leg warmers

Other: A faint smell of ocean salt lingers permanently on their skin. They have a slight Slavic-sounding accent.

Fae Form - A silvery blue pygmy goat with webbed hooves, gills, small retractable fins and a long fishlike tail. Their eyes are the same shade as their humanoid form, and large even for a goat.

Wounded Trickster: Morsi's Nuri nature fuels their love of pranks and illusions, but their playful chaos often masks a deeper yearning for acceptance. Their pranks can range from harmless fun to pointed jabs, sometimes exploiting weaknesses with a touch of vindictiveness. Morsi challenges authority figures and social norms for entertainment, but their amusement is tinged with a rebellious spirit, a subtle dig at those who hold power. While their actions often cause frustration or even temporary chaos, Morsi rarely intends lasting harm.

Yearning Seeker: Beneath Morsi's mischievous surface lies a deep longing for something like the heights and depths of their former homeland. They possess a restless spirit, filled with nostalgia for what could have been if they weren't so weak, if they could have tamed the cliffs and waves, impressed their family enough that they hadn't found the need to leave. They refuse to be powerless in this new world. With their frail body, they find the best way to gain power is through knowledge and social connections. Clever and determined, this leads to Morsi being more outgoing than they would otherwise be as a natural introvert.

Reflective Dreamer: While Morsi does enjoy the chaos of the human world, they also possess a thoughtful side. They often spend time in introspection, pondering their place in the world, and grappling with their identity as a fae, and as a resident of this world.

Place of Birth: Skaly Stonov (Court of the Keening Cliffs), Underhill

History:

Morsi was born in the Fae Court of Skaly Stonov, a place of jagged cliffs surrounding a vast ocean. A sickly and fragile child, Morsi was the runt of their family. At first, they received some protection as their parents' only child. However, with the arrival of stronger siblings born from other pairings, Morsi was largely abandoned. Unable to keep up with the vigorous Fae lifestyle, they were ostracized and picked on by most other Nuri.

Skaly Stonov eventually became too harsh for Morsi. Driven by a desperate will to survive, they discovered a one-way passage hidden amongst the cliffs of the court. It led them to the Cascade mountains, depositing them in the state of Oregon at the age of 11.

For the next two years, Morsi relied on their goat Fae form to survive the wilderness. The climate mirrored their Fae homeland somewhat, allowing them to survive by grazing. After these years of wandering, Morsi stumbled upon Polaris Pass. They knew nothing of the human world, not even their language, but their yearning for connection again, made the prospect of being among people too strong to resist.

In Polaris Pass, Morsi was taken in by a supernatural foster family, and eventually started attending True North Academy. Now in their final year at True North, Morsi plans to continue their education. Their dream is to become a teacher, specifically focusing on ESL.

Face: Has a scar around his neck usually covered by illusion, shades to white and misty with illusion instead of blushing, clean-shaven

Hair: Medium-length, light brown to dirty blond, refuses to lay flat

Clothes: Jean wore mostly jeans and t-shirts, and Luc sees no need to change that, though he prefers long sleeves. He is nearly always wearing a hoodie or a hat.

Other: Luc will sometimes unconsciously use his minor illusion ability to manifest ghostly white-feathered wings or to have his clothes appear in the 18th century style he was used to. He has a strong Quebec French accent. He is curious about makeup, especially eyeliner, which he has seen Jean wear, but has no idea how to apply himself.



SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: Haunted by the Past - Luc carries the weight of centuries as a fading ghost, along with the troubled traces of Jean-Baptiste, the man he is possessing. His memories are fragmented, replaced by a persistent sadness and longing for his forgotten life. He's always been introverted, and since Jean's partial death, he's hesitant to form new connections for fear of further loss. Yet he misses his companion dearly, and cannot fade as he did without a body.

Trait Two: Identity Crisis - Being in Jean's body with the man's lingering spirit, his own memories of his past life and ghostly existence, and his delusion of being an angel with fantasies he believes are memories, have thrown Luc into turmoil. He doesn't know who he is and struggles to make a new life from the pieces. He still suffers occasional lapses of memory from his long time as a ghost, sometimes drifting off and forgetting where or when he is. History:

Born in Quebec City in 1731, Luc enjoyed a relatively happy childhood surrounded by a loving family. His father, a respected figure as the rector of a local church, provided a stable upbringing. Yet, death touched young Luc early. Around the age of five, he lost his mother during the childbirth of his younger brother, the only sibling to survive infancy. This experience sparked a lifelong fascination with the afterlife, leading Luc to seek solace in religion and stories of angels. He also excelled in his studies, readily taking to Latin at a young age. Despite Luc's desire to pursue a religious path, his father steered him towards a legal career, recognizing his academic potential.

In his early 20's, two major events happened. First, he fell for a woman he was unable to marry, and second, he was offered an important clerkship. The stress of the exams and the heartbreak combined with his already melancholy disposition lead him to take his own life. Due to his strong emotional disturbance at the time of his death, Luc did not fully fade away, becoming a ghost instead, tethered to the place he died.

Over the next three centuries, Luc's ghostly form faded in and out of existence. Trapped within the mortal realm but unable to fully interact, his memories fractured and blurred, blending with dreams, fantasies, and fragments from books he once read. His essence dwindled to a pale echo, fueled solely by sorrow and the fear of damnation. This state remained unchanged until he encountered Jean-Baptiste, a sixteen-year-old boy who moved to Quebec City to live with his grandparents, the owners of the house Luc haunted. Jean possessed latent medium abilities, allowing Luc to regain some semblance of form and become more conscious, though his memories remained clouded.

Jean, like Luc having a poetic nature, feeling isolated by his circumstances, could relate to the ghost. They quickly formed a bond. However, Jean's unique ability not only allowed him to interact with Luc, but also unintentionally influenced Luc's already fragile memory. Fueled by Jean's unconscious shaping and Luc's own jumbled mind, the belief in Luc being a guardian angel took root. The pair spent the next five to six years together, with Luc finding purpose in protecting Jean, eventually becoming anchored to Jean rather than the house, though lacking a body, it was hard to do more than offer friendship.

After Jean graduated high school, he got a job as a delivery driver to support himself while trying to start a career as a songwriter. It was a bit of a struggle, especially with Luc, a ghost, being his closest companion, but they made do. Luc contributed by offering online Latin translations, dictated to Jean, and by serving as a source of inspiration. Their collaboration gained Jean somewhat of a small cult following within the local music scene.

Tragedy struck again in Jean's early twenties when his grandparents passed away in a car accident. Overwhelmed, Jean attempted to take his own life. Driven by a desperate need to save him, Luc attempted possession, but the process went awry, and he ended up taking over Jean's body entirely. Though Luc succeeded in preventing Jean's death, only a faint echo of Jean's spirit remained, not enough for conscious thought.

Quebec now full of too much sorrow, Luc moved to Oregon, to the small town of Polaris Pass, close to Jean's home city of Portland, using some of Jean's inheritance to cover the cost. With enough left over as savings until he can get a job of his own, in addition to what he makes online already, Luc will be able to start a new life. He also plans to continue with Jean's songwriting career, which he will do for both of them.

And all the things they've seen stick with them because of their inability to forget.

Yearning for Structure: Despite their rebellious side, Jet craves order and direction. They grapple with self-doubt and are easily overwhelmed by choice. They miss being connected to the network of angels, even after the centuries apart from it, and naturally falls into submission to authorities. Though they also have a stubbornness that will push back at sympathy. Force works better than sweet-talking in their case.

Sariel spent much of their 2000 years of existence in their realm's Heaven, only on Earth for wars, and was isolated for much of her time on that Earth after falling. She is aware how to act in a human society, but a mostly medieval (not homophobic) one that was aware of the supernatural. And she never got to know any mortal beyond a surface level. They often speak to inanimate objects without shame, especially the stone on their bracelet, but people are harder to deal with. Mementos hold a lot of sentimental value for them, in spite of their seeming detachment. Jet really likes rocks and maps. She was a professional cartographer and spy in her old world, and she enjoyed it. She also has the knowledge, if not the credentials, of a professional geologist. They struggle to accept acts of kindness or gentle physical affection, but violence they can understand.

This projection cannot be recorded, but can be seen/heard by anyone present.

History:
On an alternate Earth, in Heaven, a cataclysm happened, the murder of God himself. The last created angel, Sariel arrived fully formed in the ashes of a devastating war in Heaven, never to know their father. The murder being covered up, they never knew why either. This shaped them as they grew, cleaning up from that disaster and participating in more wars, peace always a tenuous thing that never quite covered up their memories. Even the collective consciousness of the angelic force they served with, led by a powerful angel that Sariel cared for as the father they'd never had, only isolated them further. The other angels had either known God, or later were born by parents, and neither could relate to Sariel's loss or the trauma of their birth.

Eventually, they fled as best as they could to the mortal realm. Not much of an escape there. Humans were just as warlike, and more fragile than humans. To the angel, it seemed like the entire world was suffering. After centuries in this other realm, a piece of them broke. They saw a village decimated, struggling to survive, and they didn't understand why these humans would fight so hard. Sariel made a rash decision, cutting themself off from the hivemind, they finished what bandits and beasts had started. And when the screaming stopped, there was silence. It all seemed so peaceful. But now she was alone and fallen.

Sariel, now going by Jet while on Earth, quickly realized that the murders hadn't solved anything. She threw herself into isolation, using the spycraft she'd learned as an unfallen angel, her cartography skills, and remaining supernatural abilities to survive with limited human contact. A lonely life, after another handful of centuries, Jet couldn't keep this up. Seeking connection, she gradually spent more time on the outskirts of human civilization, still an outside observer, but frequenting brothels and bars where she could assuage her loneliness superficially by letting these mortals take advantage of her.

Then Sariel's old leader reappeared in their life, finally tracking them down to offer them a covert mission within Heaven. Sariel, worn down by the centuries apart, reluctantly agreed. However, Sariel was caught by another powerful angel who had no forgiveness for the fallen and banished them through a portal where they ended up in another version of Heaven. In this Heaven, God was alive and full of mercy for this lost angel. Yet He could tell Sariel would never grow if they stayed in Heaven. So He sent them to Earth to live among humans, to learn from them how to live instead of merely surviving. Polaris Pass being a small town with a supernatural presence seemed like the best location to gently ease her way.
