hello there! i'm a veteran RPer who hasn't really had an opportunity to do so in a long time, so when i came across this place i was overjoyed! i'm familiarizing myself with how everything works for now, but hopefully will be making a character and getting fully involved soon.
that's it, really, just saying hi. see ya around & have a great day! : )

Heya Corncob, welcome to the site!!!
Also I must say, I loooooooove your icon~

aaa thank you so much! <3 i was super proud of how that one came out so it means a lot to hear that!

welcome to the site! i second bloos ur icon is real cute.

if you need any help figuring stuff out feel free to hop into discord and say hi, we'd be happy to explain anything.

Aaaaa I'm so happy to see a new member. I hope you stick around. As Loth mentioned, our Discord is a great place to get help and chat with us!

Just saw your profile saying you're private with your Discord, so don't feel pressured to join the Discord! I'm sure many of us would be happy to chat in forums.

Also 👀 I see you like The Caretaker. I loved that project and sometimes listen to bits of it while drawing or relaxing. For the longest time, it made me super sad and want to cry whenever I listened.

thanks for all the welcome wishes everyone! <3

yeah, i wound up being a huge fan of his work in fairly short order! i usually put it on in the background during my d&d games lmao. EATEOT in particular really helped me process some emotions pertaining to some personal experience with the subject matter, too, so it was a healing experience for me, even if it was really heavy.

I'm happy to hear it helped you out. I've heard of people having similar experiences. It's rough, but it's nice having that kind of stuff we can relate to. It's a really great project at making so many people from different experiences emotional. Memory issues is something that scares me a lot (especially in family), so the video also helped me contextualize my feelings.
