Elaina, Riley Davis, Kyle Merrick

Talking about anime. Dan is not familiar. Riley talks about getting jumped and being an ass. Riley flusters Dan and adds himself to his contacts as "the hottest riley". Riley is a bartender and skank at the Dog Pound. Riley body positivity offhanded compliments Dan and Dan also thinks Riley's handsome. Riley asks if he wants to watch some anime, not at his place that night, and Dan says they can watch it at his place instead. They leave together. Transition to Private ICC.

Riley Davis

They decide on My Hero Academia. Dan is bothered by the bullying and similarity to his life. Especially the part where the main kid is told to jump off the roof. Unfinished.

Astor

Astor catches Dan singing. Dan admits he enjoys it, but has rarely felt welcome to sing. Astor's reassurance. Dan doesn't know who to trust and still wants to go home. Astor's subtly encouraging Dan to trust him and only him. Dan invites Astor to fly with him later. Astor invites Dan to spend more time with him 'exploring'. Fade out after Astor leaves.

"I think making friends is important. Take me for example."
"Go ahead and ask those burning questions in your heart. I will not turn you away for them."
Exploring - "If you like it, I think you should try it more often."
"Don't forget to visit."
I'm your friend. You can trust me. You can be yourself around me. Spending time with me is good.

Astor

Dan voluntarily shifts to nightmare form in front of Astor, in preparation for flying together. Astor reassures him by saying he kinda looks like him now. Carries Astor and flies. Admits to being nervous about the lake, not knowing how to swim, and thinking too much. But he flies over it anyway. They fly over the town too. Astor reinforcing trust in him. They set down around Dan's apartment. Scene ends with Astor encouraging Dan to kiss him.

"Dan, when you are with me, you don't need to worry about judgement. I will not think less of you for who you are or your passions."
"You don't need to hide from me."
"We can explore at your pace."
"Its good to let loose every now and then in a safe environment."
"You don't need to worry about being yourself around me."
"Well then Dan, you don't have to hide yourself from me. In fact, I'd prefer if you didn't, honestly."
"feel free to take inspiration from me if it fuels your passions."

Astor, AJ Arévalo, Jaelyn Morvell

Talks about going to the LLL concert with Riley and says he'll invite Astor next time if he finds out in time. AJ is introducing Astor to horror movies. Dan mentions watching anime - My Hero but being uncomfortable with the bullying. Talk about cooking shows and cooking. Opens up to Astor about wanting to maybe go back to school. Astor being encouraging. Astor and Jaelyn both suggesting trying new things and having more fun. Jae's from Chicago. Dan mentions his home being strict, but gets defensive when Jae sympathizes. Jae plays Yugioh. Dan getting sleepy so Astor walks him home.

Anime/Movies - "Well it might be worth checking out some other ones that might suit your interest."
"Sometimes it helps to not think, and just let yourself do what comes to mind."
"Might be worth doing some more exploring to see if anything you wouldn't normally do at home piques your interest."

Astor, Isaac Roselend, Paprika Fuoco, Kinsley Moore, Rufus Caspian, Quinn Shepard

Isaac meeting Astor. Dan meets Paprika properly - he's the cute chef friend in a vampire maid outfit. Isaac leaves tense and Paprika follows. Kinsley has a lot of aliases. And she makes up stories for them too. Kinsley and Astor being flirty. Dan being flustered. Quinn is new in town, EMT. Kinsley is super confident, oh no she's hot, she buys Dan a drink. Quinn leaves and Kinsley and Astor are both flirting with Dan, who isn't sure what's going on. Transition to private icc.

Astor, Kinsley Moore

Dan finally realizes they're flirting, and is flustered by the attention of two attractive people. Astor assures him that it is in fact possible for three people to 'explore'. Dan agrees to go with them, even though he's never been with a woman. Before they can leave, Astor has to take a rain check.

Talks about getting swimming lessons. Not at the lake, though. Dan is learning to rely on others. Admits to still wanting to go home, very defensive of the angels. Resistant to even thinking they might have been wrong. Tells Astor he's a lie detector. Astor subtly getting Dan to trust him more. Fade out after Astor leaves.

"Learning to swim would be good for you though, I think." "I recommend it."
"Though do make sure to be careful, but don't let your fear stop you from growing."
