Summary: Elaina and Aspen texting. Elaina sneaks into Aspen's room on the night before her birthday. They intend to sleep(non-sexual) together like they did before he got grounded. They share intense feelings, and Elaina starts to panic about conflicted feelings in her past. She ends up leaving and going to the park in the middle of the night before running into lenti at the last stop.

Summary: Hooo boy alot happened here. Elaina and lenti bond over shared experiences and traumas, Elaina turns 18 and lenti lets her try fireball. A few hours into the night(the night before her birthday mentioned in the post before this) they go back to her place to drink and watch anime. After downing seriously dangerous levels of alcohol for humans way too quickly, Elaina opens up about being a runaway. Lenti goes to comfort her in a very intimate way, and the latent bisexual Elaina steals a kiss. This has explosive problems between lenti and val, elaina and aspen, and then aspen and lenti and some tension with kit down the line. At the end of the night, Elaina's budding powers trigger another seizure in her hyper emotional and heavily poisoned state. This leads to her being in a coma the night before/morning of her birthday This was a stressful period of time. I cried a lot.

Summary: Elaina wakes up from her coma, and her and aspen go through the process of the beginning of her recovery. They both profess their love and elaina entrusts her soul(crest) to Aspen. They talk about the kiss with lenti, and Aspen tests her resolve. They are on tenuously good terms, though elaina is still struggling with the guilt of her actions with lenti.
