Good morning Polaris Pass! We're excited to bring you our first ever non-scenery event of the new site. This event will run a little differently than you might be used to, so please read carefully.
Polaris Pass is a tourist town. Everyone who lives here knows it, and dealing with gaggles of clueless gawkers is nothing new for anyone who has lived here for more than a few months. There is a dedicated 'tourist season,' but out-of-towners show up infrequently throughout the year.
And that's what's happened here. A busload of Unawakened tourists has parked itself in town, and these people seem like a particular kind of menace. No one is entirely sure how long they intend to stick around, but one thing is for sure: they seem to pop up at the most inconvenient times.
There are no sign ups for this event.
For the month of May, NPC tourists may appear in the ICC at any time, completely unannounced. This is passive participation. Tourists in the ICC will generally be mildly to moderately annoying, but won't cause any major problems or need to have the authorities called on them.
Likewise, any thread with the event tag 'Tourist Trapped 2021' may find that these same NPCs may appear in the thread to cause some kind of minor chaos. If you want to actively participate, then simply start a thread between May 1 and May 10 with the event tag 'Tourist Trapped 2021.' The staff will find the thread and jump in at the most inconvenient time, we promise.
Everyone who participates in an event thread will receive a small reward at the end of the event. This will be in the form of a badge that appears on your profile.
