Fall Happenings

Tasha missing: Tasha Olcan is gone! When the Olcan Pack woke up after the full moon, she wasn't there. Her car was still in the garage, keys on the key rings she normally leaves them, and the bag she takes when she goes to the woods to shift is gone along with her phone.

She had mentioned to a few people that she was likely going out during the full moon with there being an eclipse as well to make sure everything was calm, but she never returned that morning.

Who can know: initially the olcan pack and anyone directly involved with them, or anyone that talks to Tasha daily. Eventually word will spread through the supernatural community that she's missing. Sleepers will be told she's on vacation, camping down at Zion national park.

Site Events: Absolutely!

Extra: I will be updating this as information comes out that may have rumors spreading about it. Feel free to contact me in DMs here or on discord about involvement if you wish.

Foul Play Suspected in Tasha Disappearance: When searching for her missing alpha, Malina Olcan found what appears to be the site of an ambush. She called an emergency meeting of the pack to share what she found and discuss safety measures.

As Malina tells it, Tasha's trail went cold out in a secluded spot in the woods. The area reeked of wolfsbane, which could be deadly to her, and deer urine, which was used to mask any scent trail Malina could pick up on beyond that point. She found Tasha's bag, with her phone and other personal effects. She also found a small amount of blood on the ground, likely Tasha's.

Malina believes that this is clear evidence of foul play. Whoever did this, she says, knew what they were dealing with, and maybe even had an idea of who might come looking for Tasha. She has leads that she's working through. While she and her Olcan associates investigate, she's made some requests of everyone in her pack:
  • Don't go out in the woods alone for now, especially not when it's that time of the lunar cycle.
  • Any werewolves outside of the pack should also be warned.
  • Keep an eye out for any people who smell strongly of wolfsbane, newly awakened humans who enjoy hunting, or any other suspicious characters. If you see something, say something. It could be a useful lead.
Malina has also brought up the question of who should be the next pack leader, if the worst comes to pass. She has been very firm on the point that this crisis is not the time to answer the question of succession. If that time does come, she believes that they should eschew the old tradition of deciding it by ritual combat, citing horror stories she's heard from the old country. She has firmly demanded that no talk of succession be made around outsiders.

Despite her efforts to keep the inner circle of pack leaders more involved in managing the crisis and covering for Tasha's absence, many in the pack have begun looking to Malina as the pack's de facto Alpha, due to all the new ways she's begun to take charge. Pointing this out to her makes her very frustrated.

Who can know? Anyone in the supernatural community, and especially werewolves or those close to them can know that the Olcans suspect foul play. The details haven't spread too far beyond the pack, and a few specific people Malina has spoken to. Anyone in the community, and especially werewolves, will know about the safety precautions Malina and other pack leaders suggest. Most suspect hunters to be responsible.

Only Olcans can know anything about the succession discussions.

Fans of the now defunct band Two Third Valor might have noticed that the former frontwoman has been active on her personal SoundCloud as of late. There's just one new song, titled Guillotine Queen, and it is not what anyone would expect from the title or Dahlia's previous work. The song is a slow, mournful ballad, lacking any instrumentals beyond an acoustic guitar.

The song is free to download with no cover art and no description. Listening to the lyrics, it seems to be a heavily stylized tale of the rise and fall of a queen who tore her own crown in half when she realized the monster she'd become. The song ends with a distinct feeling of directionlessness and lack of purpose, punctuated by how it just ends abruptly rather than fading out like more traditionally recorded music.

Local news stations around the Portland-Salem area have been sharing a story about the missing Tasha Olcan. Her fiance, Emmett Blakesley, has gone on these news programs to ask for help in finding her. The interview itself is full of him trying his best not to cry as he shares the following information:

1. He and Tasha are engaged, and had their wedding planned for late in the Winter.
2. Tasha is pregnant, and their children are on track to be born within a month of their wedding.
3. He currently has six thousand dollars, their wedding and honeymoon fund, that he is putting up as an offer for anyone with information where she is. He is also putting his beloved RV, the Adventure, up for sale to get additional funds to add to the reward.

Anyone and everyone can have seen this news special.

Tasha is back home!
Tasha has finally made her way back home. Aided by Sophie Smith, the Alpha werewolf showed back up on her home's driveway much to the relief of her family and friends. The search has been called off, and police are awaiting a report before moving onto the next steps in the case. Tasha seems to be relatively unharmed save for significant burns and scarring around her neck.

Who can know:
Practically the entire town can know she's been found. The exact details would only be for the Olcans and those related to them, the awakened members of the police force, Sophie and Gwen. They are free to tell and play with this knowledge how they want.

Site wide:
Sure! Feel free to do with this as you will and have your character react however.

Problem Solved.....?
Following the recent freeing of Tasha, the perpetrators were brought to light. Warrents of arrest were cleared for Martin Smith, Dale Smith, and Jasper Grant for the preliminary charges of kidnapping, assault, and a slew of other minor charges in connection to the Tasha disappearance case. Martin and Dale Smith were arrested later that day, while Jasper Grant seems to have evaded police custody. The general populace is recommended to keep an eye out and avoid contact with suspicious persons resembling him. (An Image has been provided to the local news broadcast that most people would hear about this on.) Its warned that he is armed and dangerous, last seen getting into his car shortly after the warrant was issued. For now, his whereabouts is unknown.

Who can know?
Anyone who watches the news really.

Site Wide:
Sure, just shoot me a message so we can hash things out since im not the only one involved with the future of Jasper evading police capture.
