Rose Fuckshit 3: The Vampire Hunters Commit Rosen't - Euphemia, Hadley, Leo, Rose, Later KC and Artemis

Rose fucking dies lol

Since this is the Artemis ICC log, he's absent for most of what goes on in this one. But at the start, it's implied Rose choked him a little out of frustration when she realized he had also deafened himself, and he laughed in her face. Artemis and Leo have, apparently, picked up unconscious KC's slack in the shit-talking-this-vampire department.

He stumbles out of his room after all the action is over with. When he learns Rose is dead and this whole nightmare is over he just starts sobbing and hugging Leo, and that's where we leave them.

some magic ear healing - 02 February 2023 - Artemis, Katie

This is the second time Artemis has asked Katie to treat troubling injuries of his. He calls her over and she gives him a healing sting, which makes his ears slightly less shit + reduces the amount of time they have to spend recovering overall. Katie saw some bullet holes in the walls, and also that bloodied pen he forgot to pick up in his room.

Artemis offers to pay her for making a house call, and she declines. He resolves to buy her that prom dress she has her eye on though.

Cave party side thread - 30 Jan 2023 - Artemis, Caissa

this is before the rose fuckshit (do not think about the timeline), and it's one of the last conversations Artemis has with Caissa before it and Corrine fuse.

Artemis is at the party in a party dress that both Corrine and Caissa have complimented him on. Artemis and Caissa have gone to a side cave to have a drink and let Caissa rest its feet.

They discuss how Caissa loses its memory after resetting, and how it normally deals with that. It also discusses its plan to send a nail bomb to the man who owns its current vessel. Artemis shows magically-enslaved-person solidarity and wishes Caissa luck on its revenge quest.

Artemis learns Caissa lost all its blood and ability to thermoregulate while preparing for the ritual with Corrine to get a new vessel. Artemis offers some of his own body heat, through wrapping an arm around her, and they keep talking. A little tipsy, he lets out the fact about his tracking chip.

Caissa identifies that Artemis's omnilingual abilities are not magical in nature. He gets Caissa to promise not to put this in his notes, and reveals that he's not actually a magical familiar as he'd been saying, but a nek0.

"My creators call us nek0. The zero, I assume, stands for the amount of creativity they seem to be capable of."

Artemis, in turn, learns a little more about the werewolves Caissa has been made to work for.

Other Information: sorry that this is becoming a pattern Leo - 05 February 2023 - Artemis, Corrine

Artemis tries to reach out to Caissa via text, which fails. So he texts Corrine to ask how the ritual went. Corrine comes over to discuss it.

On seeing the new Corrine, he very nearly figures out what happened - Caissa's spirit entered Corrine's body instead of the new intended vessel. Corrine quickly clears up that she's neither of her old selves, but also both of them, or maybe a secret third option. Also, she's ok with being the new her, and happier than either of her component parts had been. This makes Artemis less concerned and willing to celebrate the new her.

He mentioned being deaf from an injury, and he explains the whole Rose situation. Corrine remembers Artemis's nek0 status because she retained all of Caissa's memories. She remarks that him poking his ears out to defend himself was "hot."

They play a space colonization strategy game together on his laptop and discuss her plans for her boss. Artemis mentions that Ture had this awful nazi silverware set that has just been begging to get melted down for a better purpose, and Corrine thinks this would be a hilarious tool to destroy Atticus. She offers to help him with his plot against the nek0 company in exchange, and this leads to the plan where Artemis gives her number to Art to maybe get a look at the secret lab.

Anyway Corrine flirts with him a lot, and Artemis stops being flustered long enough to reciprocate. This escalates. Sorry this is becoming a pattern Leo

The catgirl moves back in - 10 February 2023 - Artemis, Henrietta, Leo

Henrietta comes back to see the boys, who fill her in on some more details about what happened to Rose. The whole ordeal has left a mark on Artemis but he's fine. Don't worry about it. Still mostly deaf tho

They discuss Henrietta inheriting Rose's stuff, and how to address Art. Henrietta also accepts the invitation to stay at catboy manor for a while.

Art Septictank Followup - 11 Feb 2023 - Artemis Lind, Art Septus

Art and Artemis meet at a bar to discuss all the stuff that's happened, only Artemis isn't telling the whole story obviously. He paints himself as taking Henrietta under his wing to clean up the huge mess Rose made. He is honest about getting vampire hunters over to murk Rose, but he tries to convince Art that those two were mostly just out to get her because she was pestering them, and they really want to be left alone, they don't care about this nek0 stuff, don't worry about it.

He orders some reimprinting kits from Art, with a very tenuous explanation of how he plans to use them.

He gives Art Corrine's phone number and mentions she's interested in becoming a customer. When learning why Corrine says she wants one, he openly wonders whether an ordinary NEK0 even has a soul (Artemis will later text Corrine about this after getting upset about the idea that he doesn't have one.)

Art walks Artemis home after this.

It's kind of a pattern now - 21 Feb 2023 - Corrine, Artemis

Artemis reaches out to meet Corrine to chat about the nek0s' need for secrecy, since she'd been a little bit too open at the bar around Holly the night before. Artemis meets her behind the card shop in his cheerleading uniform, fresh after practice. He explains why this was bad, and Corrine apologizes and offers to make it up to him.

She shares news of her success over Atticus. She flirts with Artemis a bunch more. they discuss the possibility of Artemis having her over and making dinner for her.

Artemis and Corrine magic their way back to her apartment, where she teaches him how to play magic the gathering. Much fun was had by both of them.

Corrine pegs Artemis with a magic strap-on. Much fun was had by both of them. Artemis actually cries with joy while snuggled up into her chest afterwards, and he hasn't entirely unpacked where that came from, but at least Corrine wasn't too put off by it.
