Over the past month or so, there has been a slow and subtle rise in the amount of nightmare and sleep paralysis cases experienced by Polaris Pass citizens and those of nearby areas. Some of these tend to be relatively tame, whereas others have experienced outright sleep paralysis. These occurrences, unbeknownst by the public, are caused by Spooky Shadow, a young bogeyman that feeds off fear. Most citizens, if visited at all, will have only been visited once or twice, and he tends to target sleepers or those who appear more mundane. Typically, the details of these dreams tends to slip away after waking, and many people experience nightmares. Though terrifying, they don't seem explicitly supernatural.
It would be nothing out of the ordinary, barely a topic of conversation, except for a small rise in the number of haunting sleep paralysis cases. This might stir a little bit of discussion, even though the experiences don't seem inherently supernatural.
Also to note is that many mundane-looking campers have had their sleep affected— proportionally more than other residents of Polaris Pass. There has even been chatter among campers about strange shadows, though who's to say in the darkness of Polaris' woods. Most notable is the case of a 3-year-old unawakened boy being deeply scared by a shadowed creature in the night, while camping with sleeper parents in very early March. The sighting has largely been attributed to some sort of native mundane creature — perhaps a black bear, wolverine, cougar, or even just a deer — but the boy remains unsure. The story isn't very big, but friends of this NPC family may have heard of the little boy's spooky tale.

At A Glance:
Happenings Started: Very Early March
Boy's Sighting: Saturday, March 5th, at night
Inherent Supernaturalness: None, but someone might get sus.
Veil Vulnerability: None to Low
Who Can Be Affected:
Being Visited: See Want Ad.
Hearing About Sleep Disturbances: Anyone, really! Especially those who camp, have mundane or mundane-looking friends, or who work with mundane children. Campers may have also had items stolen (shirts, pants, a roll of twine, a tarp, food, etc).
Hearing the Boy's Story: A small handful of people who might know a young, entirely mundane and unawakened couple with a 3 year old child. They have a normal but active lifestyle.
