The Stop In is a gas station and convenience store conveniently situated between the highway and Fool's Creek, on the "normie" side of the tracks so to speak.
Any traveler or townie worth their salt knows this place. There ain’t nothing fancy about the Stop In, but it’s honest and it’s kept respectably clean. On paper it’s just a modest little gas station by the highway peddling everything from wiper fluid to cheap prepared foods for the traveling soul.There’s a bit of magic in that mundanity. Safe, predictable, and hot dogs are two for a dollar fifty.
Coffee’s always on and ain’t nobody going to question that late night craving for a bag of doritos, three slim jims and a half gallon of iced tea. Long haul truckers or teenagers on a late night munchies run alike can consider that weary old ‘open’ sign out front a beacon in the darkness.

The Stop In was purchased by the Long family around the end of 2020 and is now operated by Grandma Long (Mrs. Long to you all) and her grandchild, Lux Long. Both of whom reside in trailers out back of the shop.
