Body: Tall and lithe

Face: she has flawless skin, teeth, and hair. She has golden lines that move across her face, starting from the back of the jaw, and connecting with the eyes, then moving to the top of her head. These lines pulse in tune with her heart, becoming more vibrant and then fading with each beat.

Eyes: Golden Amber, that pulses in tune with her heart

Hair: Black with golden highlights that seem to glow in tune with her heart.

Clothes: Theia wears a white dress with reflective golden streaks.

Other: To unawakened humans, Theia's golden markings and clothing colorations do not appear. Her eyes are seen as a very light brown.

Trait One: Naive. Theia is a recently born god, who embodies desire and passion. She has not lived long, and as a result she has not experienced much.

Trait Two: Passionate. Theia is driven by the moment and by her desires. She struggles to focus on things she is not interested in, and might be prone to spur of the moment ideas.

Trait Three: Motherly. Theia has an innate desire/need to provide for those who are in need.



Additional Information: Theia is prone to bouts of intense curiosity as she is so new to life. She has a desire to learn and will often inquire about things without a strong sense of social awareness.

Core Advantage: Tainted Miracles. Theia may enter a binding agreement with a willing participant. The participant pays a cost according to the magnitude of what the agreement would provide them. Theia's innate magic will provide the miracle, and Theia receives power/sustenance according to the cost. Theia can choose to lessen the cost to a participant, as the miracle simply draws from her well of divine energy. If she does not have enough power to create the desired miracle, than the cost is not extracted.

Core Disadvantage: List your core advantage here. Having a core advantage is optional.

Bonus: Smaller Core Advantage: Theia is Lucky. Things that are centered around chance tend to favor Theia when it comes to determining outcomes. This may manifest as winning scratchers or narrowly dodging accidental danger. Theia is not aware of her increased luck.

Nerfs and Flavor: Theia lives off of desire as her primary source of sustenance. When she feeds off of desire, those affected find themselves wanting for less or experiencing a dulling of their desire for all things. Theia can also sustain herself on faith, should she be worshiped.

Flavor: When Theia utilizes her powers, her golden markings flair up and her eyes turn completely gold.

Housing: Theia is homeless, and wanders the town perpetually.

Wealth: Theia has not bothered with physical wealth thus far in her life. Due to her wandering nature, she has never held a job, or had a place of residence. She has prefered to deal in the more abstract instead of material components in her deals.

History: Theia found her way to Polaris Pass after hearing about it from other veiled people. Finding it interesting, she made her way here and began to look for interesting things to entertain her.

Bellatrix Lucerion

SECTION ONE: Basic Info

Name: Bellatrix Lucerion

Age: 21 Physically/450 Chronologically

Gender: Female

Species: Shadow Demon

Occupation: College Student at Salem


Appearance: They are a shadow creature that looks vaguely like a cat, but most of the time they stay in their human puppet's form. The puppet looks like a black haired young woman with horns and a tail made of shadows.

Personality: Generally playful and flirty, tends to be catlike in personality despite a demonic exterior.

Abilities: Shadow stuff

Situation: They live in a small apartment near mainstreet and are of middling wealth.

Body: Leaner busty Japanese woman with ivory horns and a tail made of shadows.

Face: Tends to wear black lipstick

Eyes: So dark brown that they might as well be black without serious light exposure.

Hair: Looooong black hair with light blonde underneath the outer layer. If its a dye job she should tip her stylist

Clothes: She tends to wear fancy revealing clothing

Other: She has a tail made of shadows that is fully prehensile, and ivory horns. When she has a stronger emotional reaction her pupils glow a soft orange light. The cat-like shadow monster in her art is what her darkness form looks like. It does not operate externally from her body, but instead as any other shifter would.



SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: Catlike - Bellatrix is very much like a cat. She likes attention, but wants it on her terms and tends to set the pace for her interactions.

Trait Two: Devoted - Loyalty is the name of the game, and she plays it exceptionally well. When she makes stronger connections, she sticks to them. She is quite willing to follow her connections to the ends of the earth if need be.

Trait Three: Questionable Morals: Bellatrix has spent a long time in hell, and a lot of normal human ethical problems aren't big deals to her. She is the type to own a NEKO, and think that other people should too.



Additional Information: Tends to get visibly interested in conversations that involve Astor. She has a fondness for other Cat-People, despite not having outwardly cat features aside from a feline style tail.

Core Advantage: Bellatrix has access to a small pocket dimension. She can enter and exit this pocket dimension via any patch of direct shadow or when in a generally dark enough environment. The shadow must have enough space for her body to fit through. Within this pocket dimension she can manipulate the environment freely. Anyone she brings in to her dimension must be touching her as she enters, and can leave at any time, deposited to the nearest unoccupied shadow relative to where they entered. Anything created in the dimension cannot be taken out or cause direct harm. Bellatrix can access things stored in this dimension via any shadow large enough to withdraw or deposit the given item.

Bonus: Flight

Nerfs and Flavor: Bellatrix flies like the Cheshire cat, like levitating.



SECTION FIVE: Current Situation

Occupation: They are a junior in college at Salem.

Housing: She lives in her pocket dimension

Wealth: Not needing to pay for housing saves her a lot of human money, and she works part time on campus as a teaching assistant. Her pocket dimension stores various artifacts from demonic history that are worth a sizable amount of money to the right people.



SECTION SIX: History

Date of Birth: 1/14

Place of Birth: Hell

History: Born in the unholy coupling of Astor and another shadow demon he had pulled into his cabal at one point in history, Bellatrix served as one of the only children he bothered to keep around after siring. He treated her well, giving her responsibilities and trusted her with storing his more valuable demonic artifacts.

Wanting to make her father proud, she went about her duties for hundreds of years, earning some respect among her other peers within his crowd. Until one day her father disappeared, and everything came crumbling down. She spent her time navigating hell, searching for her father and keeping an eye on some of the other members of his following. Without word nor sight of him though, she had gone about living her life, and finding a place for herself. That was, until word came around through her connections to remaining members of her father's following that someone was starting to ask questions.

With some digging, Bellatrix found out that Chloe Black's forces were sniffing around. Using that information, she narrowed down where her father was likely to be and took the first gullible summoning from a young girl. The young woman wanted to make a deal for power, and Bellatrix fulfilled that by binding herself to the woman and granting her powers to her while also taking full possession of her body.

SECTION ONE: Basic Info

Name: Samuel "Sam" Ayers

Species: Angel(Salairin Pantheon)

Occupation: Priest


Appearance: White hair that fades to black and fair featured with a slight bit of ruggedness to some of his features.

Personality: Straightforward and to the point. Well spoken and generally intuitive.

Abilities: Vision related powers

Situation: Works for Theialia's temple, earning enough money to live comfortably with a dedicated room at the temple.

Height: 5'11

Body: Fit body with fair skin dappled with golden freckles. Multiple of his features have been influenced to be fairer by the divine magic he was imbued with.

Face: Fairer face, though with a stronger jaw. Dappled with golden freckles that glow ever so slightly, and is more noticeable around his eyes and in the dark. He has a golden tattoo over the metaphorical third eye that looks sorta like a shining star. His teeth are perfectly straight, and he has two fangs where his canines would be.

Eyes: Golden eyes that have the same faint glow his freckles do.

Hair: Gray/silver that fades to black from top to bottom. Shoulder blade length, that he tends to wear partially done up in a bun. He has two onyx black horns that are toward the front of his scalp that point a couple inches above his hair.

Clothes: He tends to wear nicer clothing, button ups, sweaters, jeans and khaki's. Though he does heavily accessorize with bracelets, piercings and often uses suspenders or a harness over his shirts.

Other: Has a golden marking on his forearm that is a heavily simplified version of one of Theialia's markings. The marking encompasses a semicolon tattoo that has become part of it at the center.



SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: Perceptive: Sam is perceptive for multiple reasons, but he is also old enough to have seen a fair number of things. He is well versed in the world, and this means he tends to pick up on the more subtle actions people do.

Trait Two: Good-natured: Sam is heavily oriented toward straight forward positive interactions. He tends to favor compliments over venom. Not quite himbo, but he is often driven to find a way to laugh and smile with people.

Trait Three: Dedicated: He takes his job of helping people seriously, and is very driven. He will go out of his way for those in need.



Additional Information:
Sam is straight, and generally less focused on things like romance and sex. He is a bit of a hopeless romantic though when it does come up. He is not against more short term flings, as is the nature of the goddess he was elevated under, but its one of those, if it comes up then it comes up. Not often the type to flirt unless he is flirted with.

Is generally open to try most things once, or maybe twice.

He likes to write longform novels over various topics, though there tends to be religious and political themes due to his background. He drives a matte black carbon fiber wrapped black motorcycle.

Since being elevated, he has thrown himself into learning various different things, using his newfound lack of the need to sleep to indulge his mind in various pursuits.

+ Major(As minor, but can affect more powerful entities such as demons and djinn and a larger area(Up to Home Sized). Effect lasts for up to 1 day and may now block external magical perceptions. May alternatively create anti-magic or anti-harm zones.)
+ Momentous(As Major, but can affect any supernatural creature and is permanent. Can now affect areas as large as a football field.)

Core Advantage: Feed The Hungry: Sam is able to manifest food(any kind he is aware of) that magically nourishes whoever eats it. This food can be eaten by those with restricted diets without making them sick, and while acting as a standard meal.

Nerfs and Flavor:
His eyes glow brighter when his future sight activates. His enchantments have golden glowing runes on them to the awakened. His wards are represented by golden runes on surfaces.

His wards don't have to encompass the full space or time period mentioned. They can be set for lesser areas/durations, and he can create items/exceptions to the ward to allow certain creatures to pass through that would normally be repelled. Ergo, allowing him to create a ward for a vampire without preventing the ward from keeping out the vampire in question that the magic is being performed for.


SECTION FIVE: Current Situation

Occupation: He is a priest who helps to maintain Theialia's temple, which subsists off of her remaining mortal wealth and donations. He does things for the community through the temple like working with families in need and running food drives.

Housing: He lives in a room within the temple

Wealth: He is payed a fair wage for his work at the Temple, earning enough to afford to spend a little here and there without feeling much strain on his finances. Having Room and Board paid for by the church saves him a decent amount of money.



SECTION SIX: History

Date of Birth: 9/24

Place of Birth: Nashville, Tennessee

History: Samuel grew up in Nashville where music and religion tended to go hand in hand. His family was big on church, and he found faith an easy thing for him to invest himself into. His general good nature resonating with the various positive tenants that religion brought with it eventually led him to work with the church out of highschool and eventually he became a Pastor. He dedicated himself to the good that he believed he could do, but eventually when he started being exposed to the more negative social ramifications of his religion, he parted ways with the church. He had been a workaholic in his time with the church, and hadn't settled down to have a family since he primarily focused on doing mission work and local community service. When he decided to split from the church, he found life outside of that support network challenging, and his lack of a higher education backfired on him.

Pastor's were not known for making a lot of money, and he had donated a lot of his unneeded wealth to charities he thought would use it well. After losing his faith, he fell on hard times and had to adapt and adjust. Working factory jobs and various low skill positions over a few years before eventually he stumbled down a darker path. A path he was pulled off of by Theialia, who had accidentally awoken him by using her Mesmer ability to influence a key choice in his life. One he was immensely glad she helped him to make. Like the ephemeral creature she was though, she was gone before he was able to find out more. Years went by after that fateful night, and he found a semblance of a normal life afterward. When news of a small church, a new religion of sorts popped up in a seemingly random ad on a website he was browsing one day he saw a rendition of the goddess.

Following the ad, he was brought to a page that was a website for a budding religion with their base temple set out in Polaris Pass. Eventually deciding to chance it, the town supposedly being supernaturally oriented, he made his way there under the guise of a tourist vacation. It was there that he ran into her again, as if by chance. The same as he remembered though he had aged a bit, and she seemed to sense in him something even he himself had forgotten. A desire for Faith. Something to believe in, and to help the people his community. He didn't need a miracle, or to be fixed, not anymore. He had conquered his inner demons for the most part, so she instead offered to have him help her. To be chosen and trusted with aiding her in her goal to make the world a better place. Realizing this was his chance to effect true positive change, he agreed wholeheartedly. Taking up a position within the still growing church where he could do what he love to do. Look after his community.

Then she helped him rise, and become something more than just a man. The first of her hand created angels. The process gave him immense powers, but it also came at immense cost. In the end, he was set free in polaris pass once he had adjusted enough, and told to do what he could for the people here and also look after the temple and those who visit it.

Name: Yuto kaminari

Occupation: Student Senior at CSM


Appearance: Blue skinned white haired, tall and a smidge lanky with magically defined muscles.

Personality: Wild Child looking to get into trouble and specifically is the reason his parents are developing gray hairs.

Abilities: Storm and nature related powers. Powerful body from being an Oni.

Situation: Lives with his parents, who are well off, in Aurum Heights.



SECTION TWO: Appearance

Height: 5'11

Body: Blue skinned with pointed ears. Taller for someone of Japanese descent. He is kept magically lean, but is not a bulky guy. Surprisingly strong for his size kind of vibe.

Face: Fair features and a very hard Japanese heritage with stronger cheekbones and a defined jaw.

Eyes: Golden eyes with Black Sclera

Hair: White straight short hair that has grown out a bit and is mostly untamed. Has two horns that angle straight up to sharp points which seem to be various shades of blue.

Clothes: Forced by his parents to dress nicer, he tends to wear pants and button ups, but he takes every occasion to accessorize. Sometimes wearing gloves and bracelets. Extra belts and harnesses. The occasional choker. He tries to apply an Alt mindset to the more uniform esqe wardrobe he is stuck with.

Other: Has two very large black dragon tattoos on his forearms that he loves to show off and typically wears red glasses.



SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: Like a Storm - Much like a thunderstorm, Yuto is a strong personality. He is himself without worry, and if he doesn't mesh with someone, he is more likely to bowl them over than be bowled over.

Trait Two: Craves freedom from the mundane - Yuto spent the majority of his youth with parents who wanted him to live and breath studying, when all he wanted to do was play and have fun. He will find any excuse to use his newfound powers, and will encourage other people to forget about the normal stuff, cause its boring anyways.

Trait Three: Gentle Inside Confident Exterior - He is volatile, but tends to latch onto people he feels he can connect with. Like a raging storm, he is unpredictable and unapologetic, unless you managed to get into the eye of the storm.



Additional Information:
Cannot stand or sit still for any serious length of time without something interesting in front of him. Since becoming an Oni, he has been learning how to swing his new katana on his own, but will relish the chance to show them off.

Yuto is almost always down to clown or make mischief, and is 100% willing to get involved in things like a prank war.

Plants have wound themselves into his more daily interest since becoming an Oni, and while he doesn't have a green thumb, he can sometimes be seen using his magic to cause particularly beautiful flowers to grow. He often tries to hide this though to protect his cool kid status. If you got to his room at his house though, you'd find all manner of bonzai trees and plants that almost seem to be perfectly maintained.

Knows Japanese fluently both as a modern dialect and an older one imparted to him by his transformation as an Oni, but rarely uses it.

Core Advantage: Herald of the storm - XXXXX can control electricity with an incredible degree of accuracy, similar to the elemental control advantage. The closer he is to an active storm, the stronger this ability becomes. At his most powerful, flying inside of a storm, he is able to control the formation of lightning bolts originating from the storm and direct them with mostly reliable accuracy to strike a target.

Nerfs and Flavor:
When Yuto is flying at any speed greater than half effort, arcs of lightning seem to manifest around him as he does so. He cannot attack with these, as they are more manifestations of his power than actual electricity.

Yuto's spellcasting visually looks like he is shocking the plant/s he is influencing. Despite that, it seems to cause them no harm.

When Yuto engages in the use of his increased strength, his oni physiology becomes more pronounced. This is shown through increases to his muscle mass to reflect the amount of strength he is wielding, and only starts to occur when he is using more than human capabilities.

Yuto is able to absorb electricity for sustenance through any part of his body.

Housing: Lives in Aurum heights with his parents

Wealth: Parents are well off, he is given an allowance.



SECTION SIX: History

Place of Birth: Silicon Valley California

History:
Yuto grew up in a strict household, rife with immigrant parents steepled in a culture of overwork and expectations of greatness placed upon his shoulders from birth. His STEM careered parents immigrated from Japan, and brought their old fashioned views with them to america hoping to find a better life. Giving birth to Yuto not long after arriving in Silicon Valley. They put all their hopes for the perfect child on him, and he took to it like a fish climbing a tree. Not that he was incapable, but he was always a storm that wouldn't be tamed. He grew up a menace to his parents, doing everything they wanted him not to be doing or warned him about. Eventually he crossed a line when he pulled his ultimate trick, and got two full forearm dragon tattoos because "no self respecting person gets tattoos where its hard to hide them."

When he did this, they took him back to the homeland to try and get him to reconnect with their superstitious deities and go to temples. Well he showed them, because he stole a mask from one of them that was hidden away in a part of the temple people weren't allowed into. Hiding it, he planned to lord it over them after they got back, but once he put it on with the goal of shocking them with it, he himself got the shock. After a thunderstorm rolled over silicon valley, Yuto was something more. The mask gone, and his body changed. He awoke his parents accidentally, and after a series of trying to figure things out in the mundane world and failing they made their way to polaris pass in the hopes he could find some way to fix himself. There's no going back for him though, not now that he's everything he could ever want to be.

Easily Excitable - When Sophie gets to talk about things she has an interest in, or is curious about, she can get a bit high energy or excited. This can lead to overgushing about a topic, or occasionally asking questions without thinking about whether she should or not.

Craves Knowledge and Excitement: Knowledge, power, thrills, she wants them all. Ever since finding out about the supernatural, Sophie has craved to be apart of things like the stories she used to read. This was only worsened when she became a vampire, and the bloodlust kicked in.

Core Advantage: Sophie is intimately connected to other creatures of the night, specifically wolves, bats, and rats. This functions like the Animal Connection advantage, and can extend to sentient creatures/humanoids that have either a full animal form or a hybrid form that aligns with the previously mentioned species. For sentient creatures with either a full or hybrid animal form, this is very subtle and weak while they are in human form, and becomes more powerful when they are actively shifted into their respective animal forms. For creatures who fit the species category, and are also subject to the moonbound disadvantage, this ability is at full strength while they are under the effects of moonbound.

Core Disadvantage: Sophie must consume blood to sustain herself, and gains no nutritional value from normal food. If she go too long without feeding, she will grow weaker and weaker as well as more feral. Failing to feed past a certain point will cause Sophie to fall comatose and enter a state of permanent hibernation which can only be roused by being fed blood. Will not die as a result of being starved. In direct sunlight, she is weakened to baseline human levels when it comes to senses, abilities, and attributes. She is also unable to take her hybrid form in direct sunlight.

Bonus: Body Part Regeneration
Upgrade 1 - Vampire venom- When sophie bites a person, she can release one of two venoms, or none. One venom acts like a turning bite, while the other makes a person more susceptible to her mesmer for about 10 minutes.

Upgrade 3 - Animal Form(Black wolf with red eyes)
Upgrade 4 - Short range Teleportation - Sophie can teleport up to 10 feet in any direction she can see, but doing so takes a moderate toll on her stamina.

Nerfs and Flavor: A lot of her powers are based around the Dracula mythos, with some more distinct elements added to it to spice things up.

Face: They have a mixture of draconic and human facial features with more angular cheek bones, a bit more pronounced brow ridge the blends into nose that matches up with that brow.

Eyes: Their eye color is homogenous throughout the whole eye. Their eyes are a reflective and polished silver moonstones with gold etched into them to form irises.

Hair: They have longer white hair that they traditionally leave braided. They have two relatively proportional horns that curve backwards over their head about half way before twisting out and up toward the tips.

Clothes: Their style is not overly defined, but it ranged from a mixture of masculine and feminine clothing. Their body changes between masculine and feminine based on their mood and outfit.

SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: What Makes a Dragon- Ziah was the summation of a dragon clan's attempt at leaving a legacy behind. They have access to the clan's memoirs and the stories they left behind for Ziah before they faded. This has created the odd curiosity that is Ziah, who believes themself a dragon at heart, despite not being a massive flying lizard. They have pride, honor, and some small degree of prejudice that is born from reading the same dragon based stories for the past few centuries in isolation.

Trait Two: Endlessly curious- Ziah could have taken any of the hoards the clan left behind as part of their legacy and made it his own. Instead he chose their library, and the pursuit of knowledge as was the clan's driving motivator. They move to record and collect stories and books to expand the legacy of their clan, as well as their own experiences.

Trait Three: To the point- Ziah's draconic pride paired with their ceaseless curiosity means they don't often bother mincing words, and things like snark or jokes are less common. They tend to say what passes through their mind, because why would a dragon need to hold their tongue.



Additional Information: Ziah can end up sitting inhumanly still, even for long periods of time that can appear a bit awkward or out of place. Like a statue some might say. Ziah moves with a certain surety, doesn't hesitate or stutter. If they do not have words for a response, they simply wont speak. Words bear great weight with him, and he is quick to trust, but unceasing in his ability to hold a grudge when he feels he's been wronged or lied to.

Ziah often likes to read any genre, and will happily take book recommendations, though he is partial to stories that contain dragons and adventure. He is highly motivated by knowledge of magic that his archives don't already contain.

Ziah has a strong drive to apply lessons and skills he has learned, to hone them so he might contribute to his own hoard with new memoirs of his life as he lives it. He thinks on the scale of dragons and lifespans like a dragon would, since he knows he will not die unless slain, so he usually isn't in a rush to make major life decisions.

Core Advantage: Ziah can copy memories from themself, or other willing people. The memories take the form of a physical book that inherently belongs to Ziah's magical hoard at creation. Anyone who opens the book experiences the memories recorded within from a first person perspective, though they remain lucid the entire time. A reader of one of Ziah's books can navigate through the contents with similar controls to a video player, able to speed up or slow down the content, fast forward or pause, etc. While a reader is 'reading' one of Ziah's books, their body falls into a hypnotic state that looks oddly like someone very focused on reading its contents, though their eyes are unfocused. Reader's are unaware of the outside world while reading, but they can stop reading at any point.

Features of walking smartphone, but instead of accessing the internet Ziah can access the archives of their ancestral home and any books interred within their hoard there. They can also interface with their ancestral home like a control panel when they are within it. The archive primarily consists of memoirs, books about magic with a focus on creating magical constructs and area based enchantments as well as basic things like mathematics and historical texts about their clan and their interactions. Books can be added to the archives, and thus become accessible to them via this advantage.

History: Ziah was created at the hands of the last surviving dragons of the Ulk'torath, a clan of dragons whose driving purpose was never conquering or hoarding vast wealth the world had never seen. Their passion as a clan was knowledge and creation. They studied magic deeply, learned to bend earth and water to their will and carved out for themselves deep in a mountain a paradise for themselves sequestered away from the squabbles that eventually led to the decline of dragon kind to where it is today. Eventually though, the Ulk'torath isolation led to their population size dwindling until they began to realize their clan was reaching its final surviving members. No more eggs were being laid, no more young to raise. So they turned to another form of survival, or more specifically the survival of their stories, their knowledge.

They pulled together resources from their various hoards, pooled together the knowledge they had about magic, and created their last and final child. Ziah. They were made to be able to survive outside of the annuls of time, connected to their ancestral home, and raised on the stories of dragons. They might not have been able to turn into a dragon, but they were treated like one amongst their clan. One by one, Ziah accompanied the last surviving members of their clan as they faded from the world. He recorded their final stories, last words, and compiled them into various works within the archives that steadily became his hoard, so bound to him like any other dragons would be. Then time passed, and Ziah continued to read the myriad of stories and texts left behind. Maintaining his ancestral home with the same magic that their ancestors wielded to carve out their slice of paradise.

Eventually, the proverbial knock came to the door when a dragon that was a friend of their now lost clan received word of a potential shift in dragon politics away from the mindless violence that had led Ziah's clan underground. Extending the missive sent by one Tryphosa Argyris to Ziah as the last living legacy of the Ulk'torath clan.

Situation: She works for the olcott university doing research and teaching begrudgingly. Doesn't think about money often but isn't crazy rich. Often invests in her research.

Other: Joan pretty constantly has some souls on her for any spells she might need to cast. These are stored in a bracelet made up of black beads forged out of souls.

Jaded: Joan is jaded by both time and experiencing death. She's not above hexing you for pissing her off, and she has a pessimistic view of things.

Professional but snarky: Joan is nothing if not professional. That doesn't mean she wont give you some lip if you're being stupid. She coats her words in malic acid instead of sugar.

Hunger's for knowledge: Joan is willing to break some eggs to get her omelet in the morning, and sometimes those eggs are the souls and bodies of people who died long ago. She's always had a sort of dissociation of empathy when it comes to the dead.



Additional Information: She's more interested in seeing your corpse than she is in seeing you naked. She likes to practice ritual sacrifice whenever she's feeling frustrated because only the sweet embrace of death gives her proper sleep these days.

She may or may not get a proverbial hard-on when it comes to reapers if only because her demented mind enjoys going against the natural order of things.

To her students, she is a sadist and gives a bunch of automatically graded homework just to keep them busy. She only teaches because the school makes her if she wants money for her research.

Joan has some extremist tendencies that show up because she's kind of a thrill chaser manic pixie dead girl.

Core Advantage: Joan cannot truly die unless slain by her life-bound athame. She does not age, and any wounds she receives heal completely at sunrise. If she would die from their wounds or for any other reason, she comes back to life, fully healed the next time the sun rises. Any effects on her, beneficial or negative, are removed as well.

Core Disadvantage: Joan is life-bound to a ceremonial athame, which is the only way to kill her permanently. Wounds inflicted by the dagger do not heal at sunrise and instead, heal at a quarter of normal human regeneration. If she is moved outside of the life-bound range of her dagger, she will steadily start to die until just before sunrise. If she dies as a result of distance from the blade, she will resurrect somewhere(Random) within this life-bound range of the dagger at the next sunrise.

Joan was originally just a french witch that was part of a coven hundreds of years ago. They practiced ritual sacrifice, and were known by the fearful populous as blood witches. Joan? She was a prodigy. She took to the magic like no one in their coven ever had, but she also had a dark demented side. Sociopath wasn't a word yet, and the french wouldn't have used it anyways. Eventually though, fear of her coven drew a small group of hunters, a prophecy foretelling the destruction of their coven arriving only days before. To save her coven, Joan worked dark magic based on undeath. Using the blood and feather of a phoenix as components, she planned to resurrect her clan following its destruction, but hubris has a way of backfiring. Her and one of the hunters who slew her clan were caught in the ritual and each was made immortal. Stuck in a cycle of death and rebirth using the life force of an entire coven of witches and multiple human sacrifices, neither Joan nor the hunter could be permanently killed without specific weapons.

Over the years Joan was hunted by various witch-killing groups, and like clockwork she'd reappear to continue menacing the world with her presence. Only one wound has ever stuck with her, a brand given to her by a hunter she later killed and enslaved as her favorite undead little helper. After a time though, she became more controlled in her wonton violence and turned her cravings toward knowledge and power. Eventually leading her to being one of the foremost experts on necromancy and spirits. Olcott University brought her on as a teacher and historian given her experiences, and they pay her research fees for her as long as she does her job and shares what she finds with them.

Ezra has scars along his body from dangers he has been exposed to with prominent ones being on his left bicep, right pec, and 3 lines along his back and what appears to be a bite mark on his thigh from an animal.

Ezra's right arm is demonic looking up to his elbow. It has long clawed fingers that are varying shades of purple, with golden knuckles. The only way he can hide this is with the necklace he carries that gives him his cosmetic shifting.

Trait One: Seemingly earnest - While presenting as john, he is quick to trust and eager to help with minor things or inconveniences. While presenting his true form, Ezra is harsher and more blunt. He doesn't get actively involved in small problems temporary problems those around him may be having.

Trait Two: Debt-bound - Both John and Ezra both have an almost supernatural desire to make good on their promises. They really value their oaths and agreements. Honor is something that is important to them both, though significantly more so for Ezra than John

Trait Three: Aspirational/Driven - John wants to make something of his life, but doesn't know how to go about achieving them. When Ezra knows what his goal is, he will actively seek out a solution or create one himself if need be.



Additional Information: John is an Alias/persona that Ezra puts on as a front to aid in his hunter duties. He presents as john in public, and otherwise doesn't let others know his actual name and face for fear of being found out.

Hobbies: ukulele - it was small and portable enough that it didn't take up too much space in the car and him learning to play it helped pass the long hours and quiet nights.

Sewing - Whether it be people or clothing, Ezra has had to learn to patch things up out of neccessity, but working with a needle soothes his nerves even in a stressful situation.

Astrology - Plenty of nights looking up at the sky, trips to public libraries, and time spent googling on his phone have fueled his fascination with the stars.

football(or Soccer for americans ) - Another easy thing to travel with is a football, and his father was a big fan of the sport when they were still in Europe. During some of their more quiet moments they would kick around the ball. He has a special ball that he has learned how to repair and patch that has traveled with them for quite some time.

Core Advantage: Hungering arm - Ezra has been infected by a demonic parasite in his right arm. It allows him to drain magic from creatures, places, and objects that contain or operate on magic. Magic drained in this way is absorbed by the arm and otherwise there is no affect. For small magical items, this can destroy them. More powerful items are just disabled temporarily. It is the same for enchantments on places or spaces. The more complex, the more resistant it is to being permanently damaged by having its magic drained. Creatures are drained of magic at a rate of 1 advantage every 5 seconds of physical contact. Creatures would feel a distinct sense of weakening, and those with the Magical dependence disadvantage would feel a large amount of pain. This is able to completely drain a creature with magical dependence. It takes an hour per advantage drained for said advantage to recover, and twice as long for those with magical dependence. Parts of his body consumed by the parasite benefit from 100% more durability and strength.

Core Disadvantage: Corrupting Arm - For every 9 Advantages worth of magic that is drained by his arm, Ezra is corrupted further by the parasite as it grows and overtakes more of his body. Objects or locale based spells that were created by spell casting count for 1, 2, and 3 advantages worth based on the tiers minor, major, and momentous respectively. Standing on consecrated ground of any type, touching religious artifacts, or bibles does not burn his arm, but makes him distinctly uncomfortable. Exorcising the parasite will cost him any body parts it has overtaken.

Bonus: Enhance Telekinesis by 100% strength and allow for human sized object manipulation

Nerfs and Flavor: John's cosmetic shifting is due to a necklace that lets him change his features at will. His ability to sense magic is achieved by his right eye being a magical artifact.

Anyone who has Magic Sense can sense the magical objects/parasite he has on or in his body, but not what they do. The parasite registers as something demonic in nature.

The magic draining parasite in his hand is not always draining, but instead an active effect he must will to start or stop. The parasite also accounts for his telekinesis and mental immunity.

Born to a deal his parents made with a demon, Ezra has been on the run with his father for the entirety of his life. His mother died in the first attack, killed by demons that work under the one that made his parents a deal to conceive him. They had missed a devil in the details as most tend to when making a shitty deal for a moment of happiness. If both his parents died before he came of age, the demon could claim Ezra too. His father quickly adopted the monster hunter lifestyle of being on the road constantly, learning old myths and legends, and forging skills that would keep them both alive while teaching Ezra how to survive. When Ezra turned 5, they migrated to western europe, and they hit america by the time he was 8. During an attack when he was 10 years old, one of the demons sent to try and finish his father off attached a parasite to Ezra that slowly began to take over his right arm.

Since then, they have killed and fled their way across America trying to buy time until Ezra turns 18 while also searching for a way to save his father from the shitty deal he and his mother made. They had decided to try and hide under the demon's nose by going to Polaris Pass, attempting to use the smokescreen of a large supernatural population. On their way there though, Ezra's father disappeared mysteriously one day. On his own with nothing but what he had been taught and an amulet he and his dad had pilfered from one of their demonic assailants, Ezra went to the one place he knew his dad would know to look for him. Adopting a false identity as one John Stone, an alias Ezra's father had created for him during their travels, Ezra enrolled himself in CSM as a normal teenager as an attempt to do what he and his father had planned all along. Survive, and hide.

Body: Thick muscular legs, thinner upperbody with toned abs, manifests wings on her ankles when she moves real fast. She has a smaller chest due to having not much fat on her.

Face: Heart Shaped face, scar over her her nose. She has nose piercings and a piercing in one eyebrow.

Eyes: Amber Colored, almost topaz yellow/orange

Hair: Midback dreads that she usually keeps up. She has some gold jewelry accents in her hair.

Clothes: Modern styles, maybe looks like she does parkour based on accessories here and there. Isn't the type to clean up pretty super often but does so very well.

Other: No supernatural features to her. She has a full sleeve of black tattoos along her right arm that extends to the back of her hand and up onto her chest and ribs.



SECTION THREE: Personality

Trait One: Cocky - Merin has so rarely been outdone when she sets her mind to something. Her confidence borders on the cocky, and often flirts with hubris.

Trait Two: Impulsive - What seems like a brief period of time for Merin is actually much longer. She operates at a speed that often means she's thought out what she wants to do while you're still getting those syllables out and waiting any longer sounds dreadful and boring.

Trait Three: Knows her worth - She knows what she's capable of, how she looks, and that influences how she acts. She'll tease, lead, and run circles around people because she knows she can.



Additional Information: Her leg is almost always bouncing while she sits down. She is that adhd kid that is fidgeting out of a lack of stimulation 99% of the time. She's very prone to winking and playfulness, but also very ready to threaten crushing your skull with her thighs as both a punishment and reward.

She likes speedreading and listening to audio at faster speeds. Using her rapid learning and perception to process the information faster than a normal person could.

She likes games of actual chance, the more rigged, the less interested she is.

Core Advantage: Pinnacle Speedster - Merin is speed. She is able to move effectively at 5x human speed with the same proficiency as a human would at standard attributes.

Core Disadvantage: High Metabolism - Merin has to eat enough for 3 or 4 people in a given day, but can be satiated. The more energy she expends the more she has to eat. She also digests things faster across the board, has a significantly higher than human heartrate, etc.

Bonus: Luck Bringer - Merin can give a short term blessing(An hour) that brings a person luck purely when it comes to games that rely primarily on chance.

History:

Born to a prostitute in las vegas, Merin was a christmas miracle nobody wanted. She grew up in a home filled with sex, drugs, and violence. There was no-one to take her to school, visits from CPS, and eventually she dropped out of school and ended up on the streets. She bounced from street to temporary halfway house, then back to the streets. Occasionally she stayed the night with unsavory men just to get out of the cold in winter, and eventually managed to get into a status quo. She picked up skills along the way, things like how to pick pockets, con a tourist out of their money, and how to charm her way out of trouble. It was all working well, with some rough patches, when she ended up trying to pick the wrong pocket.

Turns out Hermes was a gambler who loved to visit the city that never sleeps, and when he caught her with her literal hands in his pockets she thought she was in trouble. He seemingly saw through her though, and made her a wager. He spoke in terms so abstract and ethereal that she had thought him insane, so she indulged this unnerving lunatic if it would get him away from her. When she won that gamble though, she found herself with a very real, very magical blessing. It changed everything about her, mind and body. Merin became a menace, stealing from people with a grace and preternatural ability humans simply couldn't deal with. This led her to getting more and more daring, eventually landing with her getting on the wrong side of some unsavory people. Getting a fake ID and packing up as much of her meager belongings as she could, she fled the city in a random direction. Only stopping when a small town across the country popped into view on one of the busses. Weary from weeks of going here and there.
