Sela is a creature of imagination, and their body is filled with it. So much so that some of their imaginations have become sapient. While they're the main host of their body, for most of their life, they've had to share with imaginary friends turned real. So real that, when Sela takes a backseat, each person takes turns on who gets to pilot the body when they aren't forcing their dominance.

The Constellation:
  • Jao/Myst: The Mungojerrie to the Rumpelteezer. The Lumiere to the Cogsworth. The Statler to the Waldorf. These two are inseparable. Maybe literally.

Jao is brash, rude, and has trouble showing her true feelings unless they're followed up with an insult or sarcasm. Out of everyone, she's the most scared of having her own body and would fight against separation at all costs.

Myst makes up for Jao's lack of tact by being charming and playful, despite being as bad of a person as she is. He loves the unpredictability of the life and wishes to forever be surrounded by people. Something hard to do when the host is so shy.

  • Neeri: A plant humanoid. He's a trickster by nature, a giant flirt, and basically one of those fuckbois you'd find on YouTube and TikTok making shitty prank videos. Underneath his rancid personality is a desire to help people and be a doctor. Also, to get laid in his own body.

  • Rei: An octopus humanoid. He's a stubborn man easily flustered by his expectations being betrayed. He's an extrovert with the appearance of an introvert. Really, all he wants is to do is pursue work as a philosopher, video essayist, and maybe a camboy. Or all three. Separating is less of a need to him than a convenience. Most of his hobbies can be done without showing his face.

Needless to say, it's a bit crowded in there.

I'm looking to start a plotline where Sela searches for a way for each part of themself to have their own body. The conclusion involves Sela creating a representative item for each one and binding them to it. Each person's body will come with their own unique advantages and disadvantages, yet will still share many advantages/disadvantages Sela has. For Jao/Myst, it's possible they'll be sharing an anchor.

Outside help will be needed, which can involve one person to several. All I ask for is that the fix isn't easy. Sela has always thought about separating themselves, but they need to realize it's a possibility first before taking the steps to find who can help. There's the chance Sela or the others may also find reasons to *not* separate and try to interfere with or back out of the plan.

I'm not going by first come, first serve. I'll be picking based on what I think will give the most interesting story and most plausible solution for the conclusion.

An option - which wouldn't be a full fix but could be a start - is that Adranus has info gathering magic which could, given enough time, point Sela the right way. He'd be good for connecting the dots.

I shall move this to DMs because I like this idea. Kait messaged me about her own idea, which we might be able to combine to make a general plot progression line.
