Yo folks. So i've had a character design for a long time that kinda inspired the concept of a smaller crew of space aliens getting stranded on earth(Yes I know, real original).
The general premise was that they were kind of mercenaries, but not always in the typical violent sense. Sometimes its just guarding a shipment through the stars, or sometimes is a search and rescue, etc. Whatever jobs people would pay them for, but they were a somewhat well known and maybe even infamous troupe of aliens. I'm thinking a good portion of this group would belong to a custom species called the Steel Sisterhood. Basically space elves that have a huge cultural focus on cybernetics/enhancing their bodies with tech. Their whole species lives on a megaship in space because their homeworld got destroyed, and the steel sisterhood is the sort of like.... governmental organization that leads those who remain.
I think it would be cool to have 2 or 3 people who are part of this custom species, a hold over close knit group who'd been together since the early days, and then maybe 2-3 people who play some other alien races with a lot more flexibility on the designs.

The captain of this crew would be my character, Saeta. She is part of the custom species, is a bit older and jaded, though she has a softer spot for her remaining crew. The general story is that the crew was doing an escort job for mysterious cargo and were part of a small fleet of other ships that got attacked. In order to save as much of the crew as possible, half the ship was ejected/unconnected like a bad train car and they burned out their hyperdrive to get to safety but are now stranded in low orbit. The ship is inhabitable, giving them all temporary places to stay and commune via some kind of 'beam me up scotty' technology until they find places in town to live. The general mission being to find a way home if possible, or carve out a place for themself in this new world if not.

As it stands, i may not run with this idea if I can't really get enough people for a solid crew count, and as it stands im still working out some of the kinks so things may be subject to change as they move forward. Just message me on discord if you're interested.
