Eventually I ought to go back and log the "Maddie gets kidnapped" saga, but until then:

Cryptid Cafe, 11 October 2023, starting here

Madeline walks in on Jun, Victoria, Ezra, and Emriss, right after a rock flew through the open door towards Emriss's head and nearly killed her. It's generally agreed that someone is trying to Final Destination her, much to the horror of Jun and Victoria, who want to get the hell out of there. Madeline's story does not help this.

When Emriss asks about how she's doing, Madeline says she's great, she "made some examples out of people the other day," which Emriss delighted in and wanted to hear more about. So Madeline described how she destroyed the life of a problematic noble - making him give away his possessions, marrying his wife off to her beau from the Pit, and having a film crew follow him as he flounders trying to make it in the world starting with slightly more than Sazz did. Emriss's response to this was: "Fuck, girl. Gonna get me all torqued right here in the cafe."

after Victoria and Jun made a hasty exit, Maddie got reacquainted with Ezra, learning that he's a friend of Gwen. Emriss revealed she's wearing nothing but a belt and boots - her "clothes" were the product of shapeshifting. Maddie felt the fake clothes out of curiosity. It was a little freaky, but neat.

Emriss let it slip that she'd laid Madeline previously, and offered to bed her again. She politely declined, and told Ezra to shut up, despite the fact he had said nothing and only given her a disapproving look.
