Some Magic Family

I've got an incoming character who is a mage. I know his job, his general personality, etc, but I'm stumped on a background. If you've got a character who might have a magic family member, or know someone magic or something like that, hit me up and maybe we can make ends meet.

Edit: I should note this is the guy I shared art of previously; he has dark skin, and comes from an african/african-american background.
