Hey again, Starlit Avenue citizens! We've been adding new and exciting features to expand the world aroumd Polaris Pass, giving our community even more space to inhabit. To that end, we're excited to announce our first long form event, ushering in the prelude to greater mysteries.

Nightmares come to plague Polaris Pass. People throughout the town find themselves beset by persistent nightmares which unnerve and exhaust those affected. These dreams largely take forms uniquely unsettling to the victims, though many involve a strange yawning darkness, like a tunnel with no light at the end. Likewise, citizens aware of the supernatural might catch glimpses of something disturbing and half-formed out of the corner of their eyes even when awake. But these images prove difficult at best to observe directly. Nothing tragic has occured as a result of these visions yet, but the savvy will be keeping an eye out for trouble on the horizon.

In the coming weeks we will give more information regarding this event. In the meantime, players are welcome to have their characters attempt investigating the phenomenon, which may garner extra clues to help lead towards a resolution. Whatever investigations your character participates in, please let a member of staff know so that we can keep track of character involvement and what they might find.

Horrible Car Crash on Main street - Around noon on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, on main and first street a driver who fell asleep at the wheel led to a multi-car pile up that claimed the life of an bystander who was crossing the road. Police are cautioning drivers to stay home if they are too tired to drive, or to get a ride from a coworker or friend if they can't afford to miss work.

The next update in the nightmares of polaris pass as more and more people are beginning to be affected. What may have been just 1 in every 4 to 5 people having poor sleep, is now closer to 1 in 2 or 3. More work place accidents are happening, car accidents are going up, and students may find their grades starting to slip as they nod off in class or accidentally sleep in through their alarms. Word is also just beginning to spread through the supernatural community of stray sightings of moving shadows. If your character would be the type to explore the local happenings, please reach out to a staff member directly to let us know your plans so we can all coordinate as the story continues to unfold. Feel free to start investigating the source of these odd nightmares.

Small Town Madness
After a harrowing night with Police, a elderly woman was taken into custody after experiencing a psychotic break due to sleep deprivation. Mary Johnson was found wandering the streets hallucinating about shadows and monsters lurking among us. Upon trying to be collected by local authorities who had been called to the scene, Mary suffered from a minor heart attack. She is expected to make a full recovery over the coming days.

Word around the supernatural hub is that the shadows that have been flitting around the corners are getting more bold. They shy away from the sunlight, but its clear now there is more than just one or two around town. People are falling asleep in public, and where a sleeping person resides, the shadows seem to move.

If you want your character to be part of the investigation or work towards a more permanent solution, please contact a moderator.
