- Theo almost never smiles, but you can interpret his mood by getting to know him. His voice sounds somewhat hollow and disembodied to awakened folks. The scales on his cheeks look like freckles to the unawakened. His skin always feels slightly cold to the touch. To those with the death sense ability, Theo feels at the very least a little haunted. He smells like grave soil and ashes to those with enhanced senses.
Personality
Connected: Theo is spooky, and he knows it. To that end, Theo tries to do normal teenager things as much as possible. He's not just a ghost whisperer he wants to have a social life too. He wants to make plenty of friends, and be in the know about the latest school happenings.
Responsible: Theo does take his reaper responsibilities fairly seriously, but he was also raised to be a decent human being. He's quite mature for his age. Theo is the type to help people regardless of who they are or what their reputations might be. This doesn't necessarily mean he'll be nice. Sometimes people need that little kick.
Snarky: Theo’s got a sharp wit, and can quip with the best of them should he feel so inclined. It can be enough to catch people off guard since he’s so quiet most of the time.

- He’s new in town, and he’s still getting a feel for the place. He likes reading and skateboarding. And he seems to have a strangely varied set of miscellaneous skills like lockpicking. He also likes doing volunteer work around the community. Sometimes you can catch him talking on his phone, but the phone is clearly off. Other times, he just says something that really makes no sense and seems to be directed to no one in particular.

- Soul Collector: Theo collects and stores deceased souls that have not, or are unable to move on by eating them. From there souls can be processed to move on if Theo does favors for them to help them find peace by taking care of small bits of unfinished business for them. In exchange they teach him mundane but useful skills that they had in life. Alternatively, said souls can also be reaped by a passing reaper.
When working to accomplish these tasks, Theo will find that he will have a slightly easier time accomplishing them. If he needs to break into a house to clear a spirit’s internet history, there may be a small window when no one is home and he can sneak in. If he has to hand write a letter then the letter will be in the spirit’s handwriting. A person may be more inclined to listen to/believe him if he verbally delivers a message from the deceased.

- Simon: Theo can summon his own personal familiar, a large vulture named Simon. Simon shares Theo's ability to sense death and leads Theo to lost souls. Theo and Simon can also communicate with one another via telepathy.
- Nerfs and Flavor
- Remote Control limbs: When Theo snaps off his limbs, they don't bleed out, and he shows no signs of pain when he does this. There is a distinct crunching sound that can be heard when he does this. His body seems dry and brittle at the breaking points. Interestingly if he is cut normally, he will bleed like anyone else.
Theo's intangible form resembles a cloaked cloud of ash and dust, more akin to a typical reaper
Theo's scythe looks like a standard reaper's scythe that's made of bone and ash. When flying with it, it appears less solid, having ash particles trailing behind it
Turning Bite: Theo doesn't actually bite people, instead he can turn people by using his scythe

Doctors told Theo’s parents that he would be born with numerous birth defects. And his parents in turn, prayed for a miracle and hoped for the best. Their prayers were answered by a wayward death entity calling themselves a gravetender. They offered to save their child by making him into a member of his kind. After a lengthy discussion they took this being up on the offer.
Theo was born a healthy baby, and lived a pretty normal life in Southeast Pennsylvania. That was up until he turned 13. For the most part, his less human features went largely unnoticed by people outside his family. Theo didn’t start displaying truly strange abilities until he was 13. His parents would find Theo speaking with people they couldn’t see, among other things. Over the next couple years they began looking into more supernaturally friendly communities. After learning about Polaris Pass and Aurum Heights, they decided to move across the country. They’ve only just recently settled into the town. His parents were going to send him to True North Academy, but Theo insisted on going to Cordelia Moore
