- Lithe and willowy with defined angles (collar bones, shoulders, wrists, ribs, etc) and supple curves (hips, breasts). Fair freckle-dappled skin that feels eerily like peach flesh, lambs ears, or the peel of various fruits (velvety, fragile, and soft).

Personality
Curious, Playful: Eda knows much, but has experienced very little. Some elements of modern life enchant her greatly, while others are disenchanting at best. She enjoys learning, though. Eda longs for adventure, both grand and mundane alike, and tends to have a fair bit of fun when she has found something (or someone) to explore. However, “old and wise” as Eda is about certain things, she nevertheless has yet to fully comprehend the capacity of some humans towards evil.
Serene, Wistful: There is a certain serenity about Eda that is generally somewhat constant, and which could potentially come off as distant, arrogant, or uninterested. Perhaps she is a bit of these things too. Nevertheless, she isn’t easily riled, and is more ought to calmly and quietly go for the jugular in a fight without ever changing her tone. There is also something almost… wistful, about Eda. It is the melancholy reflection of vivid curiosity— a monotonous longing for lifetimes she hasn’t yet lived, often based in memories she witnessed from afar.
Uncharted, Untamed: Eda isn’t human, though she is attempting to learn, and she is very new to this sort of existence. She is still fleshing out her identity as a sapient creature, as well as her place in this uncharted world, and bits of her are still more reckless (perhaps surprisingly so) than they have much right to be.

- Eda can often be found sunbathing in most places, and tends to grow restless indoors. She tends to seem a bit baffled by technology, especially computer-based/digital tech, and can be very quiet (verbally) at times. She also has a very strong penchant for music, in part inherited from her creator, Yuto Kaminari.

- Yanagi no Hinansho:
Eda is born from and bound to a magically-fortified old growth weeping willow named Yanagi. The tree itself is conscecrated & magically dependent but otherwise x2 durable and disease-resistant as other trees. It has elemental weaknesses to fire, iron, and lead. Yanagi's canopy is enchanted and acts like a magical fae-type maze for those who enter, protecting the tree's trunk. It's possible to reach the center, at which point there is a portal to a small dryadic pocket dimension. Almost all plastic & metal are rejected upon entry, either items or entire people depending. Eda can feel when beings enter the portal.
The realm inside the portal is a grove called Yanagi no Hinansho (Shelter of the Willow), which is also conscecrated by druidic magic. All entrants gain Healthy Body and Enhanced Attributes (Durability, Endurance, and Regeneration) while inside Hinansho. Entrants can only bring/leave what they can carry, and cannot remove the nature spirits that sometimes populate the space. If Yanagi is destroyed while Eda is inside Hinansho, she will be trapped there in stasis unless rescued, while visitors will be expelled.

As a dryad, Eda is lifebound to Yanagi, her former body/source. She can venture beyond the usual range, but only if she has some piece of the tree with her as a form of magically-sustained charm. Eda’s lifeforce is directly connected to the tree. Injuries, diseases, and even curses to the tree all project onto Eda in relative ways. Eda can always feel Yanagi’s general status, no matter where in the world she is, unless she is completely encased away from nature (via metal box, etc) or otherwise magically affected.

Eda is the product of casted magic, and her creator, Yuto Kaminari, is alive. Being magically dependent and borne of his magic, she always has a sense of where Yuto is, so long as he also has access to magic too. If she focuses or uses magic, she can glean information about his physical/emotional status or info about his magic. She can sense when his magic is casted, and is x2 vulnerable to its effects.
- Nerfs and Flavor
- Core: Yanagi's cove is absolutely gorgeous, as is Hinansho. There are water features, lush plant, and almost golden sun. Hinansho/the inner grove is more obviously magical. Frequent or extended visitors may eventually find their powers and/or personalities warping from the strength of the druidic magic here. Limited to agreed-upon narrative purposes.
Elemental Form: Plantlife: Eda is not a human creature, and she does not have human flesh. Her entire body is manipulable via plant magic, and can transition freely between types of plantlife. She gains the stats and general properties of whatever plants she is channeling at the time, but can generally be assumed to have humanlike parameters.
Dehydrated/Restricted Diet: Again, Eda is a plant. She does plant things. She absorbs water, basks in the sun, and turns parts of her body into root systems to absorb nutrients from compost. She does not eat dirt. She does not chew. Thank you, carry on.
Concrete Jungles Aren't Jungles At All: The further Eda is from sources of nature, the weaker and more fragile in health she becomes. Her powers also grow weaker. There’s a lot of conditions that can affect this, so it’s not an official disadvantage. For reference, though, a city like Portland would noticeably wear on Eda after a day or so, whereas most areas of New York City would make her weak, frail, and ill in the same amount of time. If it progresses enough, she can fall into a dryadic hibernation until she’s refreshed at her tree or by a long time spent sleeping among natural flora.

Eda spent most of her life, all 2+ centuries of it, as an ordinary (if very long-lived) weeping willow tree. She was part of the forest, communing with other organisms through her root system and observing life from afar. She’s witnessed quite a lot over the years, from her tallest skyward leaves to the tips of her farthest-reaching roots, and she has heard about far more. She has borne witness to birth and death, love and loss, rot and ruin and the newest leaves of spring. There are people in this town she would find familiar at a glance, if only for how much time they have spent among her branches and those of her brethren. Eda knows what the forest knows, and she knows little more than that.
Her life was nearing a close, as her trunk finally began to wither and her hollow branches began to fade away. This winter likely would have been her very last, but in a stroke of luck she was saved from death’s door and given a chance at a new sort of life. Yuto Kaminari only meant to experiment, to test the extent of his magic. But this simple test rejuvenated and fortified her tree, and the magical surplus overflowed into the form of Eda today— a dryad of the centuries-old willow tree she once was part of, and one of the forest’s newest protectors.
