Momma Witch: Despite her outwardly sarcastic and aloof demeanor, Circe cares very deeply about the people close to her. She can be very fussy and protective, especially around those younger than her.
Paleo Nerd: Circe has a deep interest in paleontology due to its connection to her fossil magic.

- Circe's entire presentation changes when she's in 'tourist mode'. She plays herself up as the idea of a regular person who has convinced themselves they're a new age witch while simultaneously dropping occasional references to real magic in order to identify any actual mages or awakened humans.
Abilities
- Ability Format
- Spellcasting
- Spellcasting
- Geomancy (Fossil)
Minor Example: Heating stones like coals, minor masonry repairs
Major Example: Temporarily resurrecting a small to medium sized fossil animal, creating small objects out of stone
Momentous Example: Creation of a new familiar, temporarily resurrecting a large fossil animal
Focus (Minor, Used for all magic), A chunk of gemstone or small fossil
Focus (Major, Used for major and momentous magic), A pile of fossilized bones or a familiar's presence
Focus (Momentous, Used for momentous magic), Roughly a full dinosaur's worth of fossils
- Core Advantage
- Shears - Shears is a magically resurrected Thylacoleo Carnifex and Circe's familiar. Shears is roughly the size of a Saint Bernard or similar dog breed and appears to non-awakened humans as a mundane albeit strange looking dog. Shears' dog-like personality helps to maintain the illusion of the animal as a regular pet. The concentration of fossils in Shears' body make him very important to Circe's spellcasting and most of her spells won't work without him.

Circe Moonlight Hemlock- surprisingly actually born as Circe Moonlight Hemlock- was born to parents who epitomized the idea of SoCal hippies. They were good parents who always supported her, but at the same time they were exhausting. When she was a teenager Circe had her first encounter with the supernatural- she caught some woman from out of town scamming her and, after cornering her, learned that she wasn't just a regular con artist. The woman was a witch, and in exchange for letting things slide she agreed to become Circe's mentor.
She didn't only mentor her in magic. The other witch was originally a con artist from across the country in New York and she taught Circe how to really fleece people without getting caught. Eventually she moved on from Carmel, leaving Circe to choose where she was going with her life.
A very strong plan in mind, Circe moved to Polaris Pass- practically a gold mine for her kind of opportunities- and opened up The North Star, a store selling every kind of new age magical or spiritual supplies imaginable with one catch. The 'spooky witch lady' who seems to be doing everything to convince customers to believe in magic is really doing everything she can to keep them from finding out that it's real.
