- Situation
- Ior is stranded on Earth with their crew with no money, and they live in the spaceship they got stranded here on
Appearance
- Height
- 200CM; 6'7"
- Body
- Ior is thin and wiry, with a very androgynous body structure. Their skin is dark brown, they have cybernetic digitigrade legs, a long white tail that ends in a mostly black tuft of hair, and they have a large, fresh burn scar that covers the left side of their torso.
- Face
- Long and pretty flat with a strong jawline, thin lips and long, pointed, downturned ears.
- Eyes
- Right one is bright green, left one is a cybernetic with a black eyeball and a red, lens-like iris and a white pupil with a red center. Ior has white eyelashes.
- Hair
- Black and white and very thick and wavy, they have shaved sides and the hair on top reaches their ears.
- Clothes
- Ior usually wears skin-tight shirts and pants, that're made from breathing materials and are easy to move in. That way when the crew goes on a mission it's easier for Ior to just slip whatever protective gear they need on top without having to change.
- Other
- Unawakened people see Ior's legs as just normal prosthetic human legs, if not really long and high-tech ones. Their cybernetic eye looks like a normal red-ish brown eye, and same with their ears, they look normal if not a bit longer and pointier than normal. Tail can't be seen by sleepers at all.
Personality
Chill - So much so that you'd think they're about to fall asleep. Which does happen, a lot. Ior has almost made napping an art form.
Ior has a general "try anything once" kinda attitude and a cool enough head that they can fly through an asteroid field at top speed, steering with their feet while eating snacks.

Lazy - They just can't be bothered to do something unless they have to do it, it sounds fun enough, or it has to do with one of their special interests (or friends, but shh, they have an aloof persona to uphold).
Organized - You'd think they're a slob, but they're actually quite clean and neat, at least when it comes to their own personal space and belongings. Ior has their own systems for everything and sometimes these systems are impossible for others to comprehend.
- Additional Information
- Vengeful - Just try and mess with something Ior holds dear, they will chase you to the ends of the earth and beyond.
Little Shit - Ior gets bored easily, which shows itself with pranks and teasing and doing impulsive things to try and stave off that boredom. One could call them a little shit, but they are not little, and they are quite good at getting away with anything they do.
Abilities
- Ability Format
- Custom Species (El'anai)
- Advantages
- - Unique Sense (Metal)- Being integrated with the sisterhood's mother metal opens a person's senses to other metals both mundane and magical within similar ranges to other human senses.
- Cybernetic Constitution- Once Augmented with their mother metal, a person's body becomes much more stable with other technology being introduced. Facing no complications or rejections of artificial organs or limbs. Their body becomes perfectly able integrate with technology as long as the procedure would not kill them outright.
- Walking Smartphone
- Healthy body
- * Enchanced Attributes (Strength/Speed)
- Disadvantages
- - Electrical Vulnerability - Steel Sisters are heavily susceptible to electricity based damage and disruptions. Given their bodies have been adapted with a bio-organic system of cybernetics, it can affect them in severe ways.
- Metallurgic diet - The bio-organic metal that has been integrated within their body requires regular absorption of mundane metals. This can usually be done by either eating or making prolonged contact with a source of metal.
- Magical Vulnerability
- Malware Weakness
- Sensitivity (Stronger Electromagnetic fields, typically more severe for more heavily augmented members)
- ** Artificial Lighting Vulnerability
- **Arithmomania
- Core Advantage
- Cybernetic Eye: Ior's left eye is a cybernetic. With it they can see 300% better than an average human and they can zoom in on targets (Ior could read all the lines on one of those eye tests from across a soccer field). It also grants Ior night and heat vision.
- Nerfs and Flavor
- - * This advantage only applies to Ior's cybernetic legs
- ** This disadvantage only applies to Ior's cybernetic eye
Current Situation
- Occupation
- Mercenary/Pilot, by Earth standards, unemployed
- Housing
- Ior and the rest of the crew live (for now) in the spaceship they got stranded here on.
- Wealth
- Ior has some savings, but they doubt the currency will work on Earth
History
- Date of Birth
- Year of the Mother 5752, 3rd of the Season of Silver (March 3rd)
- Place of Birth
- El'anai mothership
Like many other El'anai, Ior was born on the mothership. They were raised by a couple who were both part of the Steel Sisterhood, and so Ior was expected to join, too. Ior didn't have much interest in leaving the mothership or joining the Sisterhood, but they did so anyway, to respect their mothers' wishes. During Ior's enlistment period their mothers died when on a mission off-world, and so they officially joined the Sisterhood with a heavy heart.
Ior couldn't find joy or contentment in much of anything for several months after. This deep apathy was the reason why Ior ultimately lost their left eye and damaged both their legs badly during a training exercise. Ior, who'd previously been apprehensive about augmenting their body, suddenly found themselves with a cybernetic eye and legs.
Ior, who'd been in search of a position that didn't require too much fighting, found themselves learning how to pilot spacecrafts. And the first time Ior flew was life-changing. Ior adored the feeling of freedom that came with flying through space, and very quickly they became one of the best pilots in Sisterhood. Ior, who'd previously been cruising through life doing the bare minimum, had found their calling.
But the Sisterhood started to feel stifling to Ior after few years of being a pilot. They wanted to discover and explore not just for the Sisterhood but for themselves. And so when a fellow steel sister Saeta extended an offer to Ior to join her mercenary crew they jumped at the opportunity.
Ior greatly enjoyed the life of a mercenary and having a ship they and they alone piloted, being surrounded by interesting people, going on exciting missions and seeing new places without having to leave immediately after a mission was completed.
But not everything could stay great forever. During a mission that seemed routine enough they were attacked unexpectedly. Saeta was able to save Ior and some of the other crew members, but they all ended up stranded orbiting Earth. Ior was hurt badly in the attack, the whole left side of their torso being burned. When Ior was healed enough to move Saeta showed them to a small town called Polaris Pass on the planet's surface, that should be a good enough temporary shelter for them.
