Malicia Satanopheles - His former housemate and close friend. One of the first people Leo met upon arriving in town. She's like an older sister to him.
Artemis Lind - The first NEK0 Leo met after getting free. He helped Artemis understand how bad his situation really was, and resolved to help him live free. The two now live together, and Leo views him like a brother.
Rhett Ryusaki - Leo's first human friend, now his boyfriend. Their relationship has strained since Rhett started college.
Reese Ryusaki - Rhett's sister. Leo enjoys her company, even if he can't relate to many of her problems and finds her advice to be questionable at best.
KC - Another NEK0. Leo admires her greatly for her rebelliousness and free spirit, but it's put them both at risk in the past. He feel conflicted about her.
Charlotte Hugo - His housemate with Artemis, and a former NEK0. The two never really got along, but he has solidarity with her and their shared experiences.

Maple - A company NEK0. Her existence confirms a lot of deep seated fears he had. She makes him uncomfortable, though he tries to have solidarity with her.

Saki - A former rental NEK0, like Leo. He can relate to her experience more than others, and hopes to help her adjust now that she's free.
