Welcome to Starlit Avenue! We are an 18+ account-per-player forum roleplay, focused on a supernatural community in the Pacific Northwest. We are a slice-of-life style roleplay focusing on interpersonal drama and the struggles that come with being a discreet community of supernatural beings living in close proximity to mundane humans. Starlit Avenue is a self-hosted site, which provides us with the massive level of customization you can see right now. This includes our glossary and character tabs, linked at the top, but also our skin and other customizations. This does, however, require us to pay both server and domain costs, in addition to forum software.
Server Costs: $7 a month
Domain Name: $2 a month
Xenforo Licensing: $6 a month
In total, Starlit Avenue costs $15 to keep everything up to date and running smoothly. This is the cost just to keep the site running - no improvements, upgrades, new backgrounds, skins, etc.
Starlit Avenue survives thanks to donations from members. We will never lock any site content behind a paywall, but we do offer both donation and subscription options.
Donations through Paypal.me/StarlitAvenueRP will grant permanent access to the supporter-only discord channel. Subscriptions, through the Account Upgrades feature grant permanent access to the discord channel, as well as the ability to freely customize their username color (excluding staff-specific colors), as well as the option to work with the staff to build their post templates directly into the site (so rather than using parsehtml, you can just use [player]).
