L.E.O.N 647 was designed by the Oranth Navy to repair their ships. After it became clear that it was malfunctioning, Unit 647 was sold off to a small repair depot. It was there that Leon 647 was assigned to work on Saeta Steel's ship for some standard repairs. While he was working on the ship (roughly translated to Chrome Falcon) Saeta and her crew had to leave the depot quickly as raiders were inbound. Unaware that Leon was still onboard, the crew made it out relatively unscathed. When he was discovered still under a manifold working, Saeta decided that Leon could stay as it made it apparent that "Repairs aren't done."
Leon proved to be a vital crew member as incident after incident came and went and Leon held the ship together. It worked constantly to make repairs and improvements where it could. Then the latest attack came. Leon's already malfunctioning processor had gone into overdrive to diagnose, re-direct power/coolant/whatever else to keep the ship together. As word came that Saeta was about to blindly jump to hyperspace, Leon highly advised her against it, stating structural integrity would not allow the ship to survive. Telling him to figure it out, Saeta made the jump.
When they arrived, Leon was heavily damaged, but the ship and it's crew, had made it. Standing theory is that Leon had actually latched onto the ship to hold it together while they jumped. Though he adamantly refutes that, some of the crew continue to tell the story that way, or insist that's what happened. Where they had made it to, well that was their next objective given by their captain, to figure out just that, and how to get home.
