At long last, I'll be running the NEK0 lab raid threads. This will be taking place primarily in ICC threads, and it will take place across a minimum of 2-3 such threads (depending on if we're counting a desperation play one of the Maples may attempt concurrently back in Polaris Pass).
I'll effectively be GMing this event. While Artemis and Malina will be present and have each played a substantial role in coordinating and organizing this, I intend for them to play a relatively minor role in these threads. The degree of success or failure of this raid will largely fall to your volunteer characters and how they handle situations presented to them.
Artemis will have presented all of the information below to anyone volunteering to participate in the raid.
The main NEK0 laboratory is built into the side of a mountain, which was in the past the crash site of an alien craft. The laboratory has been built up around and atop the now-underground and partially-disassembled space ship. The building is two stories tall, with the above-ground stories including dormitories for NEK0s and a subset of guards and scientists, and 'enrichment' facilities for most of those nek0 who are meant to see the outside world. The basement level contains the hollowed-out spaceship where nek0 are grown, derivatives of alien technology are fabricated, and unethical experiments and treatments are carried out on nek0s. there are two doors on ground level where people can enter and exit.
The outside of the laboratory is mostly forested. Barbed-wire fencing surrounds the area in a near-semicircle, while nearly-impassable cliffside forms a natural barrier around the rest of the perimeter. On reviewing Shara's recordings, Artemis has heard mention of outdoor enrichment facilities for nek0, as well as some manner of weapons testing site - though they have not gotten a visual on these locations.
The raiders will be split into two teams. Each team will have members with radios to provide status updates to each other as needed.
Forest Team will be teleported past the barbed wire fence by Malina, so they can attack the front gate from behind and surprise them. After eliminating front gate guards and sealing the front gate, this team will draw enemy forces away from the lab and engage with them. They will also secure the perimeter, and that includes preventing any nek0 from fleeing to adjacent towns on their own and breaking the veil. Forest team will be supported by NPC Olcans, who will watch the front gate after.
Lab Team will be portaled directly into the laboratory by Artemis. After securing the exits, this team will be neutralizing any threats found inside the lab. That could mean killing them, or zip-tying if they surrender to deal with later. After the lab is fully clear, if all goes well, they can escort the imprisoned nek0 out of there.

Opposing Forces at the lab
Names listed here with given name first.- Takeo Fujita - The deeply embarrassing creator of the NEK0. He has absolutely no social grace. Despite his wealth he wears comfy clothes, often merch from trashy anime that speaks to his poor taste. He is the man who best understands all this alien tech at the company; between that and owning the place, he is indispensable to the company.
- Kachi Mori - suspected former Yakuza who handles the business and logistics of this parahuman trafficking ring. He wants to pivot the company into a more profitable military-oriented direction.
- Ken - He appears to be a green Oni. Little is known about him except that he lives at the lab.
- Meipuru Kato - not to be confused with the Maple they just de-imprinted here, Artemis would assert, Meipuru is a nek0 who has special privileges, and seemingly helps run things at the labs.
- Guards - Most of the guards in the labs seemingly wear no armor. They wear lanyards allowing them to card in and out of various secure locations. They have standard-issue alien energy weapons which can incapacitate people by disrupting their nervous systems, with 'stun' and 'kill' settings. They may have other weapons available to them.
- Scientists - effectively same capabilities as guards, for all we know, but they were probably worse in gym class.
- Other Loyal NEK0 - nothing is known about how nek0 other than Meipuru could be used to defend the lab from assault. It is known that some nek0 like Maple, Art, and Rizah have superhuman capabilities.
